I had dinner there Thursday evening. The menu had a great selection, the wine list offered sufficient high quality wines, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. SOHO was a great place for a relaxing evening after an afternoon of traveling. We went before the ballet, and the food, service, ambiance was great! Had the beef (short rib meat?) with horseradish mashed potatos - 'twas fantastic. We also tried both deserts on the Theater Menu - the chocolate one and the waffle with ice cream. Delicious! Very prompt, attentive, and friendly service. Food was wonderful, served quickly and our server was very attentive and attuned to the fact that we had only an hour to eat and chat. However because the noise was such an issue that I could not hear my date after a while I doubt I will be back during a peak hour.
The calimari however was out of this world! Would not recommend for first dates, but for great food with your partner and a lively atmosphere….can’t go wrong.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPrime Rib Sunday was a winner.....We went for Sunday dinner at 6:30 for their Prime Rib Sunday.....very few people in the restaurant which was surprising because the food was very very good. We had their fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and then the prime rib which was melt in your mouth tender. Great chopped salad and sides..Finished by a nice dessert... Service we excellent. Our waiter kept bringing us fresh drinks before our old drinks were finished...Just a very nice dining experience. Would certainly go back there again and even with a view high up over looking the parking lot it was just very pleasant.
