"Sofias was my biggest disappointment in New York.I added six people to my original booking and was embarrased that I brought them there.the waiter took forever to take our order and then got everything wrong,he completely forgot two main courses,and hardly seemed to know what was going on.The cheapest wine was $45 plus tax.A dismal experience that I want to forget"

"I've been going to Little Italy/Mulberry Street most of my life and have tried almost every restaurant in the neighborhood, but this was my first visit to Sophia's and it was the right blend of good food, hospitality, and service. A great place for traditional Italian favorites."

"The staff seemed more concerned about pulling people from the street then helping the people they had in seats already. Food was decent but The Italian joint literally two doors down was much better service and food. El "p" something."

"We were on a quick family trip to the city and unexpectedly found ourselves with an evening for just my husband and I. After checking reviews for restaurants in Little Italy, we decided on Sofia's and were not disappointed. It was a rainy night and the restaurant inside was lovely and warm - an inviting atmosphere.
The Bruschetta we chose for our appetizer was flavorful and just enough for the two of us to share. We each chose a pasta dish - Pappardelle Bolongnese and Penne a la Vodka and we were delighted. The serving sizes were just right and the sauces were delicious. Service was attentive, but not hovering. I would definitely go back on our next trip."

"My boyfriend had a filet mignon special and absolutely loved it. I loved all of my food as well. The waiter was nice, and the atmosphere was relaxed on a Thursday night. Nice italian spot in a fun neighborhood!"

"We were looking to grab some pasta on the way home from Little Italy and Sofia's was good quick stop. Very friendly staff, Good bread and thought the Penne al Vodka was also good with a sauce the wasn't too heavy. Plenty of space so you were weren't sitting on top of other tables having dinner."

"We had an amazing dinner at Sofia's - the food was outstanding (the bruschetta was the best I've ever had). The staff was also incredibly accomodating and we had a wonderful night!"
