Born in Milan to culinary great Cesarina, a Cordon Bleu of Chaine des Rotisseurs in Paris, Maurizio inherited his passion for cooking and learned his skills under the watchful eye of his mother.
After years of being the front man in Milan and New York’s most prestigious restaurants,… Maurizio realized that he wanted to pursue his passions as a chef and subsequently opened his own Maurizio Trattoria in NYC’s Greenwich Village to great critical acclaim and success.
Along with many prestigious articles and reviews, Maurizio Trattoria was also voted one of the best restaurants in New York by Forbes magazine from 2004 to 2007. Maurizio Trattoria’s regular clientele included famous A-list movie stars, fashion designers, Ceo’s, as well as neighborhood notables.
