Diner Reviews
  • "Food was good, very eclectic. Service very good, but the place smelled and had the atmosphere of an old beer joint trying to go upscale. No other customers in the place at 7pm on a Sat night, wonder if they will make it?"

  • "Made an early evening reservation for seven. We probably got there before the bar crowd so it was quiet. Felt like royalty with friendly, doting service. Hors d'oeuvres were fantastic. Each of us tried something different and all of us were impressed with both the presentation and tastes. The Pork Belly is worth getting. Had the Chateau La Bastide Dauzac with dinner, which all of us enjoyed."

  • "We were presented with the House Tater Tots with smoked paprika and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The tots were enormous, crispy, and delicious and in a nice fryer basket presentation. The Brussels sprouts were roasted and tender with little pearl onions for balance. The salads came next and were of the freshest organic ingredients. Next came a bowl of wild mushroom risotto. The temperature, texture, and flavor was amazing! The entrees were quite a surprise. The Chickpea Falafel with smoked paprika braised kale was seasoned nicely. The hangar steak I ordered was replaced by a nice bone-in Ribeye steak atop mash potatoes, bourbon glazed baby carrots and cocoa demi. The Duck Ragout with house-made papardelle was excellent. Must Try!"

  • "Great place for groups, and for a romantic dinner as well! Food was excellent, we had a table of 14 and everyone was served at the proper time, cold foods were chilled and hot foods were just right. Food was well seasoned, everyone loved the Society Burgers, Caesar Salad, Venison and Fish of the day...as well as the Risotto....the deserts were to DIE for at the end. Service was excellent, great wine selection and overall great experience for everyone. I would not hesitate to bring another group of friends or come back for dinner with just my husband!"

  • "Passing through Richmond and had no clue where to go. Looked at possibilities on 'open table' and took a chance. Excellent food and service. The chef was inventive and very good. Try it!"

  • "We had a terrific dinner. Everything was perfect. The chocolate torte dessert was, as they say, to die for. A good selection of wines and a nice rhone blend and an unusual (and terrific) pinot grigio. The beet salad was, again, unusual, with a special way of preparing the beets - cut very thin and somewhat crunchy. The medium plate chicken dish melted in my mouth and my husband thought the pork chop superb. Service was friendly and prompt and helpful. When we were there, it was quiet enough to have a real conversation -- something I appreciate. The decor might be something that we found odd only because we are older than I imagine is the target clientelle. (Over 60). We will definitely be back."
