Social ViningsSocially SoundI came to town with my girlfriend to meet up with good friends and wanted a fun, vibrant place to drink, eat and mingle. This is a great spot! I had a reservation for 6 but when the restaurant called me earlier in the day to confirm, I asked if I could up the number to 8 and they did no problem. I really appreciated getting a courtesy call beforehand! When we arrived, they were ready for us but I noticed there were 2 high top bar area tables available so they pulled them together and we had a perfect spot for our group. Our waitress was friendly but after getting the first person's drink order she walked away so we had to wait until she returned..not quite sure why that happened. My first experience with fried lobster tail, it was DELICIOUS! Service was excellent. I had ordered flowers and they were already on the table for us when we arrived, my wife was very pleased. We were also treated with a dessert of Oreo cookie baked in a beignet batter, with homemade strawberry ice cream, and fresh strawberries and blueberries under whip cream on the side.

From their omelet and carving stations to their sushi and dessert bar, the team at SV really thought of everything. The variety of food was diverse enough so that an entire group's tastes could be satisfied. In the mood for bacon, eggs and waffles? They've got it. Would you rather have lamb, salad and sushi? They've got that too.
What made the experience even better was the attentive service staff and the minimal noise in the restaurant, despite the growing crowd of families with young children. I had a great experience and hope the Social Vinings will consider adding brunch to their regular menu offerings.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster Sunday Brunch a winner!We had a terrific Brunch on Easter Sunday and wanted to give Social Vinings rave reviews. Our table was ready when we arrived, and they had a special price on Mimosas, which were festive. Assorted Sushi, great fresh green salad, omelet station, eggs benedict, amazing grits, ham carving station, house smoke salmon, etc. They were out of lamb on the carving station and when we expressed our disappointment, the manager sent over a lamb appetizer, grilled curried lamb satays, which was kind and appreciated. We ran into friends from church so there was a "neighborhood" feeling to Social Vinings, which we found charming. A night we will remember for a long time. We get to Social Vinings about once a month so not new to us. Always good food and a nice staff.
Their was a elegantly suggested Valentines dinner deal, we appreciated the fact that we did not have to order this. We eat much lighter than the meal suggested. We split the Surf & Turf meal and the waiters / cook made it into two dinners that fit our appetite perfectly and looked nice too. They split it for us. Another small gesture that made the night.
The wine, as always, was above average too.

Great food and bar, excellent service. Entire staff, including valets (optional) were friendly and gracious.
