Good for taking guests.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great FindWe came to Social Reform on March 19 because it was on the "recommended" list for Ford's Theater. We have been back three times since. It is a great location; easy to get a reservation, good service, good food -- and a great bar. My husband is especially impressed with the martinis.
My only complaint is that is difficult to remember the name of the restaurant. I keep going back to the Ford's Theater website to find the link.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of town visitWhile visiting DC we had dinner before attending a musical at the Ford Theater. The proximity was one of the reasons we chose The Caucus Room. Great service, and wonderful ambience, although my steak was over cooked it was still edible and my guests loved their dinners. Bartender makes a great Old-fashioned, which I hold as a barometer for a bar program... Burger was delicious. From salads to sandwiches to meals to desserts, all enjoyed their food choices. The dessert sampler of sorbets & gelatos was excellent! The service provided by Cooper was great as well as relaxed and fun. The staff even went out on the street to hail a cab for one of our party and did not give up until a cab stopped. Everyone enjoyed the evening very much! There weren't a whole lot of people there for a Saturday night, so I don't know why he was so scarce for a while.

They had a good business crowd and service was very accommodating. We had the burgers - big, juicy, quality meat, and messy! I had to ask for an extra napkin. That is a good thing when you eat burgers. It was nice to have the salad substitute rather than potatoes. Our waiter understood our predicament and did his best to get us served quickly. Food was fantastic. We had a few drinks with dinner so our bill was rather expensive. We'll be back - the food was very good; nice drinks menu - fun but not too complicated. Service was overall prompt, but one server was helpful with food and drinks tips, and another ("we work as a team") was not.
