Diner Reviews
  • "3 people inside looked at us, and then continued doing menial tasks. No signs letting you know to sit yourself, or where to find menus. After the third person made eye contact with us, we waited about a minute and a half and then left. There is probably a reason why no one was eating in there. Would not recommend. "

  • "We really enjoyed our space is the side room. It was great for conversation and yet could still enjoy the music in the background. The waitress was fantastic."

  • "Well... It took 1 hour for us to see food. We were never asked how out meal was or if we needed anything else. Or if I would like a refill on my coffee.... The waitress was awful. Oh yeah, and only 10 tables total in the entire place was occupied."

  • "Love the decor and some tables have insanely comfortable chairs. The menu has changed but you'll still find something you'll enjoy"

  • "Although there was typical bar fare (burgers, etc.), there were also some unexpected and very good choices. The ceviche as an appetizer was excellent - seafood "cooked" in lime juice is certainly not typical bar fare. I tried the chicken which was predictable other than the cactus garnish on the spinach side. My wife had the vegetarian risotto, another unexpected bar dish and very good. The final surprise was beignets for dessert - New Orleans in Tucson. SoHo has an extensive beer list but limited wines - not unexpected at a sports bar. Finally, the service was excellent - our waitress was both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I would certainly recommend SoHo, not for fine dining, but for a delightfully different bar scene."

  • "The experience was decent....Knowing it was Valentines Day, Game Night, and a Friday....we expected the wait to be atypical. Unfortunately the wait to order was longer than it should have been, the wait for the food even longer, and they forgot our appetizer to boot. That being said, this is far from a 5 star place to begin with and the environment was great to watch the game in. Far from romantic, but it was the right place for the right event. Wouldn't recommend for next Valentines Day, but Game Night, Drinks, and a decently prepped steak and you could do much worse."

  • "Never had been here before but lived close by and decided to give it a try, what a mistake. Not only was the food extremely over priced and tasted mediocre, it was some of the worst service I had ever received. While the waitress claimed the kitchen was "backed up", everyone else was there for the bar and no one else was eating. It took an hour and 15 minutes for 2 tacos and a turkey burger, the food was not worth the wait, and extremely overpriced also. Safe to say I'm never coming back ever. Took our waitress 30 minutes to bring more bread for the artichoke dip after she asked, the dip was taken away before she was able to give it to us. Terrible."

  • "hostess had forgotten the menus and promised to get us some, she never came back. The waiter had to grab us menus and it continued to go downhill from there. service was extremely slow for how not busy it was. made the decision to order just an appetizers only because the dinner menu sucked for variety. the artichoke dip was good. another downfall was a lack of pita bread to accompany the dish. By the time the waiter got to us to ask if we wanted more, which we said yes, and the time it took them to get us the extra, the food was cold and we were over it. We got our check as soon as we could, which took forever also, and left to grab dinner somewhere else. An 1hr &15 mins for an app and 2 drinks with how empty the place was is unacceptable!"

  • "SoHo has some creative entree combinations that we really enjoyed, but the service was disappointing. The Drunken Braised Beef with Brussel sprouts played well off each other. The roasted tomatoes on the turkey burger gave some nice acid with the Brie. We were disappointed by the service. Our server would disappear, we figured out he was hanging out by the soft drink station with a cute coworker, and his knowledge of the menu was weak based upon his inability it make suggestions or recommend dishes."

  • "It is what it is. With 7 large screen TVs directly in view everything was covered. Baseball, hockey, football all at once. This is a campus sports bar with quite good food and seriously deficient mojitos, which they graciously took off the bill, even though we did not make the request, and even though we drank them down. Service was quick and friendly."

  • "The last time we ate here the restaurant was known as Sam Hughes Place and it was fairly upscale. I think the owner realized that he wanted a more neighborhood friendly vibe, and has transformed it into a gastropub. The food was terrific and our server was a delight. My only caution is that is is noisy (many, many flatscreen TVs for sports), so not a place for intimate conversation. Other than that, fun, good food, great beer selection, friendly service - we will be back!"

  • "I took my daughter and a few of her friends. The restaurant has nice vibe to it. I thought the menu was a bit odd for a "college campus" restaurant. I had a Caesar Salad with Salmon that we good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. I think this place would be better off with a salad/sandwich/gourmet pizza type menu. The majority of the entrees did not seem appropriate for a restaurant so close to a university. This place should cater to the college crowd. I do not think there are enough "adults" in the area to support the menu choices. Just saying...."

  • "Don't get me wrong: I like SoHo, but the drinks and food are just a bit much. For example, I never think you should pay $12 for a couple of crispy lobster tacos in Tucson. Everything was priced about $2 or $3 too high for what you got. The burgers also are good, but again, often cost $12 or more! If you want to watch sports, however, this is the place to go. If you want to drink while watching sports and not go entirely broke, check out happy hour, where $3 drafts of Bud Light and Miller Lite won't kill your wallet. SoHo also features a lot of specialty drinks, but many of them cost $9 each. Sorry, but no can do in the Old Pueblo."

  • "Consistently excellent food and drink. Happy hour is a gem with imaginative appetizer selections and great deals on beverages. Add in comfortable seating, excellent service, and it is a winner."
