SoHo has had a bumpy ride, but things are looking up for this deluxe sports bar. They're undergoing a name change to Champ's, which is a positive move. This is a quintessential sports bar, so it should stay that way.

There were only three tables of people when we were there for lunch, but our server never came to check on us. The food took forever to come. The french fries were soggy. When i made reservations i said it was a birthday lunch and wanted candles in the dessert. I also told the person seating us. When we finally got to order dessert, no candles. The server said no one had told her. There was live music which made it impossible to talk since the place has all hard surfaces.

When I made reservations I asked for a booth. Upon my arrival the Hostess said my booth was given away due to a "sudden large group" that needed seats. She offered to let us have a table or we could wait for a booth to open. So much for reservations,,,,,,, also the chicken Mediterrainian tacos I had were pretty minimal in size. Taste was fair. The server did offer to us to a booth once one opened (the one near the door and entryway into the eating area) but who wants to move after you have been seated and already being served?

My friends loved this place when it was Championship Dining. We'd read the negative reviews but decided it couldn't be that bad. We were wrong. The service wasn't as bad as some have detailed, but nothing great. Seem to employ a lot of high school age girls to greet and be waitresses. I've never been to a place that was able to screw up a Cobb salad. Limp lettuce. Chicken cubes that were tough and obviously made days prior. The manager did remove the salad from our bill, but it was overall a bad experience. Won't be back.

We decided to try out SOHO since it was close to the theatre where we had concert tickets. At 6pm, it was early, so relatively uncrowded. Since we wanted to eat & still get to the concert on time, we ordered right away. The server came back to our table 3x to ask how I wanted my AHI Tuna grilled as I'd specified I didn't want it rare. We sat for a good 1/2 hour without anyone coming by to update us. Finally at about 6:40p, we decided to cancel the order. The manager showed up, apologized for our lengthy wait & offered to discount our food & box it up. We agreed & it was another 10mins. before it arrived. No explanation of what went wrong. While the food was good, the lack of communication & slow service makes it unlikely we'll return.

Dined for Administrative Professional's Day to thank our great support staff. What a dissappointment! The restraunt was not busy, but we waited over an hour to recieve our order, and then 3 entree's - all the same were wrong. To redo those orders took almost 20 minutes more, so we were not able to eat at the same time, and the 3 then had to eat quickly, since we had already been there over an hour. We waited for 30 minutes for iced tea refills, as they were brewing tea - we then received it warm. Received $10 off coupon for next visit, but you have to spend $40 - not going to happen - there should have been an immeadiate comp of the 3 meals that were wrong.

3 people inside looked at us, and then continued doing menial tasks. No signs letting you know to sit yourself, or where to find menus. After the third person made eye contact with us, we waited about a minute and a half and then left. There is probably a reason why no one was eating in there. Would not recommend.

Although there was typical bar fare (burgers, etc.), there were also some unexpected and very good choices. The ceviche as an appetizer was excellent - seafood "cooked" in lime juice is certainly not typical bar fare. I tried the chicken which was predictable other than the cactus garnish on the spinach side. My wife had the vegetarian risotto, another unexpected bar dish and very good. The final surprise was beignets for dessert - New Orleans in Tucson. SoHo has an extensive beer list but limited wines - not unexpected at a sports bar. Finally, the service was excellent - our waitress was both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I would certainly recommend SoHo, not for fine dining, but for a delightfully different bar scene.

Never had been here before but lived close by and decided to give it a try, what a mistake. Not only was the food extremely over priced and tasted mediocre, it was some of the worst service I had ever received. While the waitress claimed the kitchen was "backed up", everyone else was there for the bar and no one else was eating. It took an hour and 15 minutes for 2 tacos and a turkey burger, the food was not worth the wait, and extremely overpriced also. Safe to say I'm never coming back ever. Took our waitress 30 minutes to bring more bread for the artichoke dip after she asked, the dip was taken away before she was able to give it to us. Terrible.

    Dined on 2/14/2014
The experience was decent....Knowing it was Valentines Day, Game Night, and a Friday....we expected the wait to be atypical. Unfortunately the wait to order was longer than it should have been, the wait for the food even longer, and they forgot our appetizer to boot. That being said, this is far from a 5 star place to begin with and the environment was great to watch the game in. Far from romantic, but it was the right place for the right event. Wouldn't recommend for next Valentines Day, but Game Night, Drinks, and a decently prepped steak and you could do much worse.

hostess had forgotten the menus and promised to get us some, she never came back. The waiter had to grab us menus and it continued to go downhill from there. service was extremely slow for how not busy it was. made the decision to order just an appetizers only because the dinner menu sucked for variety. the artichoke dip was good. another downfall was a lack of pita bread to accompany the dish. By the time the waiter got to us to ask if we wanted more, which we said yes, and the time it took them to get us the extra, the food was cold and we were over it. We got our check as soon as we could, which took forever also, and left to grab dinner somewhere else. An 1hr &15 mins for an app and 2 drinks with how empty the place was is unacceptable!

SoHo has some creative entree combinations that we really enjoyed, but the service was disappointing. The Drunken Braised Beef with Brussel sprouts played well off each other. The roasted tomatoes on the turkey burger gave some nice acid with the Brie. We were disappointed by the service. Our server would disappear, we figured out he was hanging out by the soft drink station with a cute coworker, and his knowledge of the menu was weak based upon his inability it make suggestions or recommend dishes.

It is what it is. With 7 large screen TVs directly in view everything was covered. Baseball, hockey, football all at once. This is a campus sports bar with quite good food and seriously deficient mojitos, which they graciously took off the bill, even though we did not make the request, and even though we drank them down. Service was quick and friendly.

The last time we ate here the restaurant was known as Sam Hughes Place and it was fairly upscale. I think the owner realized that he wanted a more neighborhood friendly vibe, and has transformed it into a gastropub. The food was terrific and our server was a delight. My only caution is that is is noisy (many, many flatscreen TVs for sports), so not a place for intimate conversation. Other than that, fun, good food, great beer selection, friendly service - we will be back!

I took my daughter and a few of her friends. The restaurant has nice vibe to it. I thought the menu was a bit odd for a "college campus" restaurant. I had a Caesar Salad with Salmon that we good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. I think this place would be better off with a salad/sandwich/gourmet pizza type menu. The majority of the entrees did not seem appropriate for a restaurant so close to a university. This place should cater to the college crowd. I do not think there are enough "adults" in the area to support the menu choices. Just saying....

I had passed SoHo several times before stopping by to enjoy lunch. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was really delicious. I had the B.A.L.T. sandwich. Wonderful. My daughter enjoyed the macaroni and cheese which she enjoyed. There is a pretty extensive beer list to choose from. The lunch crowd was a bit sparse. I am guessing that game days are probably pretty busy. I thought the restaurant was a bit pricey for lunch, but nonetheless, it was a pleasant experience.

Having ate at this place last year, the memory of a great experience was still fresh, we decided to try it again for another celebration. The food was great but service very slow, thankfully our waitress was very well trained and easily kept our group of 7 happy. Their burgers have to be top 3 in all of Tucson. Truffle fries... This place gives Zin Burger a run for its money and does not even focus on burgers! The other mains are also very good, fish not over cooked, tacos are amazing. The appetizers we had were the artichoke dip and soy bean hummus, both are certainly hand made and excellent. The beer on tap is fresh and cold, with a reasonable selection. What else can you ask for? Highly recommend this place.

Don't get me wrong: I like SoHo, but the drinks and food are just a bit much. For example, I never think you should pay $12 for a couple of crispy lobster tacos in Tucson. Everything was priced about $2 or $3 too high for what you got. The burgers also are good, but again, often cost $12 or more! If you want to watch sports, however, this is the place to go. If you want to drink while watching sports and not go entirely broke, check out happy hour, where $3 drafts of Bud Light and Miller Lite won't kill your wallet. SoHo also features a lot of specialty drinks, but many of them cost $9 each. Sorry, but no can do in the Old Pueblo.
