I've been to Smyrna several times. The waitstaff is always attentive and professional. The food has been consistently tasty. The cost is reasonable and the Turkish wine hits the spot.

My wife and I had an excellent dinner after the theatre one night. The service was excellent with the waiter making suggestions which we followed. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meals very much. We will return to this restaurant on our next visit to New York City. I've already given the name to friends who are planning on visiting the city soon.

This was our second visit here as it is very easy pre-theater. It is nothing fancy, and I really wish they would update the room and make it more comfortable and welcoming, because the food is actually pretty good. Good wines! Meal for two with shared large app, 1 additional app and entree, bottle of wine only $88. There never seems to be enough help on Saturday lunch so when it comes time to pay bills it is a bit of a rush. On our first visit they had a lunch menu, it was gone this visit and one party who was seated left because they were looking for lower cost options.

At last: an ethnic restaurant that knows the difference between Turkish and US-style Greek/Mediterranean cuisine -- and in the Theatre District no less! This is the first restaurant from "Open Table" (and one of the few from any reservation source -- including "self") where I've seen the staff make it clear that they were aware of special requests (e.g., curtain time) and unobtrusively keep track. Food highlights the herbs, spices and other ingredient types and combinations characteristic of Turkey relative to other, similar but not interchangable cuisines of the region. Try the appetizer sampler for a demonstration of this authenticity. Standard Broadway long, narrow space -- clean and with more space around table than most. Recommend.
