Diner Reviews
  • "I have dined here several times & have never been disappointed. Excellent food & presentation, attentive wait staff w/o being annoying. They now have valet parking which is a very nice touch as the parking is a little tight. So convenient to downtown. They chge the menu seasonally. Just a great place for an evening out w friends."

  • "We were in Tulsa for some other business and when it came to lunch , I searched Open Table for a place for lunch. The menu looked great and a bit diffrent so we decided to give it a try. I had the smoke trout salad and it was wonderful, my girl friend had a traditional breakfeast but it was outstanding! The thickness of the bacon! Wonderful. Bravo , it was a very pleasant surprise. If we are ever in Tulsa for an evening , we will be sure to try it for dinner"

  • "I ordered my steak medium. It came out medium rare. Sent it back & it still came back rare. So I didn't eat it. My friends steak was extremely rare but he didn't mind us much as I did. The waitress also brought the wrong drink to my husband. But he was nice & drank it"

  • "I invited 2 very country folks to Smoke for a business dinner. At first they were pretty intimidated and ordered exactly what I thought they would....steak & pork. Luckily the food was really good as usual and they loosened up a bit towards the end. While our server was nice, the service was perfunctory. I don't know if she was too busy, had decided we weren't "Smoke quality" or what but I never was asked if I needed another cup of coffee, had to ask for bread, refills on water etc.... I loved my salmon, it was stellar! The addition of valet parking was a master stroke."

  • "This was our first visit to Smoke. Two friends and I visited on Sunday for brunch. I ordered the waffle with bacon. The waffle was excellent, but the bacon was way undercooked. I took one bite of bacon and that was it. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy. She was not impressed and ate very little of it. The other friend in our party ordered the salmon salad. She was very happy with her order and raved about it. If I do return, I will know what to order next time. Although, with two out of three orders being less than desirable, it may be quite a while before I return. Disappointed, to say the least."

  • "The bacon app was very good. I ordered the new york strip with grilled okra. The steak had a great flavor, but was a little tough. I ordered the steak med-rare to avoid potential issues…but it was still on the tough side. My wife ordered ordered the goat cheese gnocchi and she found it was very good. Overall, it was good…but not great. Maybe will give it another try in the coming months. Side Note: I heard Smoke has a food truck that is managed by their original head chef. The food is rumored to be fantastic. Regards"

  • "I ordered the large rib eye, rare. The steak was not of the quality I would have expected for the price and was more medium rare than rare. My wife ordered the gnocchi and it was so salty that she couldn't eat it. Sadly we won't be returning to Smoke."

  • "We loved our food...everything tasted excellent on the Chef's Tasting Menu we had the night we visited. We especially loved the Chef's special risotto and the salmon. While everything was very good, those two foods were exceptionally wonderful. It was very quiet in the restaurant, but the weather may have contributed to fewer diners than usual and our experience may not be reflective of usual times. We look forward to returning for another meal at Smoke soon!"

  • "We regularly eat out upscale in Tulsa and our tab at smoke ran $30 higher than normal for 2. Food and service was good but nothing special to draw us back. This was our third visit since smoke opened because our first two experiences were not so great. No third strike, so we may return. The former 15th street. Grill was our hangout in the eighties so we like the location and. Nostalgia."

  • "Out of town guests came to Tulsa this weekend. Smoke is always the place we take people new to Tulsa. Food is wonderful and the service is "spot on" friendly and efficient."

  • "What I really love about Smoke is their ability to prepare common foods (steak, fish, poultry) with a twist usually with the sides and sauces. I know several diners that discovered the like grilled okra which is nothing like its fried brethren. If you don't want to branch out your vegetable tastes, they will happily sub if something you'd enjoy. They also have several starch selections including grits, mac 'n cheese and potatoes. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this Cherry Street gem."

  • "I am really happy about Smoke's new valet parking. The last time we came we found it hard to find a parking spot. We arrived about 15 minutes early & expected to wait but were surprised that our table was ready for us. My wife instantly commented on how she was already feeling special. We were eager to try the Chef's tasting again & this time tried it with the wine pairing. Each course came promptly & provided a wonderful experience for all of our senses. It was absolutely wonderful. The wine pairings were perfect. When it was time to go the server retrieved our valet ticket. The car was waiting for us out front and the valet even stopped traffic to let us out. Great experience from the time we arrive until the moment we left."

  • "Smoke was my favorite restaurant. They had awesome Chicken Pasta dishes and Salmon, Manchengo fritters. However, they seem to change their menu. Removed chicken and other dishes from the menu. Unfortunately they did not replace them with better dishes. There was a group of us eating at Smoke weekly since they opened. Due to the changes in menu and not have a well rounded menu that includes some of the basics they have niched themselves out of our likes. To not have a couple of chicken Until they offer a well rounded menu it is hard for me to take customers and colleagues to the restaurant."

  • "Took my son there from out of town. Everything was great a always. Had chefs nicer block special, mahi, pork chop, 26 oz rib eye, enough to feed 3 much less two. Came with brussel sprout, okra & potatoes. This is one of our favorite places on Tulsa. Never disappointed."

  • "The food was fantastic. it was a party of 4 so we ordered the cheese plate and quail legs which was wonderful and for dinner we all had the chefs choice, tenderloin w/mashed truffle. The night was filled with conversation about how good the food was. We don't normally splurge on dinner out since we enjoy cooking but what a treat it was. We all are looking forward to our next night out at Smoke. I have no problem highly recommending Smoke on Cherry Street!"

  • "The food was not worth the price. Ordered Medallions, medium, they were way overcooked and burnt on the outside, not good at all. Husband ordered a ribeye, medium, and it came out rare, had to send it back and they recooked it, and burnt the outside, mashed potatoes were cold and the okra was hard. Dessert was pumpkin cheesecake, and instead of a slice, it was served all mixed up in a mason jar. Will not go back."

  • "Our final evening together before extended family flew home. Fried green Tomatoes with crab as appetizer, were recommended a new merlot (Clos du Val) by staff. Courses were timed perfectly, staff were attentive, food was delicious. Always love bringing out of town guests to Smoke, or enjoying a celebratory meal. Highly recommended."

  • "I have been to Smoke a hundred times and it's never a let down. This time we did the chefs tasting and that risotto was absolutely to die for. Then the perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned salmon? Divine. And the juicy, tender steak medallions were incredible. We finished it off with a pumpkin cheesecake and house made cinnamon whipped cream. I don't like pumpkin cheesecake but this blew me out of the water. The chefs are brilliant at smoke. Simply the best."

  • "The food was amazing! It was a wonderful romantic night for my boyfriend and I's 1 year anniversary and Smoke was just perfect! The steak I had was cooked perfectly and the truffle mashed potatoes were amazing. My boyfriend got the pork and I couldn't resist stealing a few bites. Seriously one of the best restaurants I've ever been to."

  • "What a great evening! We had a super waitress and delicious food. The food is consistently outstanding at Smoke- everything from the appetizers to dessert as well as brunch to dinner. I had petite Tender Medallions which were so tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare per my request. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Tulsa is fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant."

  • "I had a great night at SMOKE on Cherry Street. I went there on a first date, and the ambiance was quiet and relaxed. Our waiter, David, was patient and he did not rush us even though we took a very long time to decide on anything. I loved the food and the service was impeccable. I had a house salad, the lamb chops, and an Argentinian Malbec. Everything was very tasty! The food and the wine were a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely recommended for romantic dates."

  • "My girlfriend is a bit difficult to please in the steak department. She wants a filet mignon, butterflied, well done, no black. Most restaurants just can't get these simple directions correct. Smoke was perfect. Dinner was fabulous. Draft beer selection is terrific. Girlfriend's long island tea was splendid. Service was very good. My medium rare tenderloin was excellent. I try to visit Smoke anytime I go to Tulsa."

  • "We had 5:00pm reservations. After being seated and waiting a long time, a waitress came by and asked if we had been helped. When we said "no", she said she would get our waitress. She stood behind us talking to her table and never got us help. The hostess walked by us many times, as well as other waitstaff, and no one waited on us. Finally, a waitress came over, apologized, saying no one had told her she had a table. The restaurant was almost empty with only 1 or 2 tables occupied. Once our waitress came to the table, we had good service the rest of the evening. The entree and dessert were good, but overpriced, especially for the small portions and the grilled romaine salad had so much dressing on it I could hardly eat it."

  • "Smoke's Pork Taco's are a must have! Meat was tender with excellent 'smoke' flavor. It was VERY noisy due to a large group. However, I was impressed their service was not impacted -sign of a good restaurant!"

  • "First time to eat here. Server very conscientious, told her we were on our way to a show and she made sure everything went smoothly. Was able to answer questions about the menu and made recommendations. Food was very good. Only hitch was some friends meeting us there were told there was no reservations for us even though we were already seated. We saw them standing by the door and brought them to the table."

  • "9/10 times we are very pleased with our overall experience at Smoke. Unfortunately our waitress was not very good on Friday night. She walked away from the table while I was asking a question about the drink menu, and then she turned back and apologized. She was not on her "A" game. With the prices of Smoke, we are paying for more than food. Our past expereiences at Smoke have set the bar very high on service, so we will be returning. But we will wait to take out of town guests there again, as our experience on Friday night was a bit embarrassing for us."

  • "Smoke is a unique restaurant in Tulsa. They smoke all of their meat, from bacon to salmon, and pride themselves on their home-made condiments and dressings. They also have a Bloody Mary bar at brunch that is really fun. I've been to smoke about ten times for lunch and brunch and it's always fabulous. I'm sure dinners there are top notch as well!"

  • "Once again, another remarkable experience at Smoke. This restaurant never ever disappoints and I've been 100 times. Everything on the menu is spectacular, especially the wood grilled scallops and the petite tender medallions. The salads are always a win, too, along with the desserts. Even for a picky eater, you must try Smoke. Trust the chefs, they are absolute geniuses! Some flavor combinations that sound kind of... well... interesting, are absolutely phenomenal. It's nice to go out to eat and not have to season my own food. Thanks again Smoke! It's always a pleasure."

We were served very quickly after ordering. The waite staff met everyone's expectations. We had dinner and were on our way in about 1.5 hours which is pretty quick for a group of six."

  • "Expected a lot more based on first visit. The menu is creative. Perhaps a bit too much so. Prices put us off. Over $50 for an entree before tax, gratuity... Everyone around us seemed to be eating the Monday $5 hamburger that wasn't even good enough to be "a deal." In the past live music was stunning and lighting great. Both missing on a Monday."
