Diner Reviews
  • "I ordered the New York strip. What I received was a slab of Tyrannosaurus Rex! It was the biggest NY strip I've ever had. Not only that, it was cooked to perfection. I ordered it medium-rare and it wasn't on the grill a minute longer than it should've been."

  • "The food was very good. Our waitress was okay, she didn't go over the specials or make any recommendations"

  • "Smoke does an incredible job of being a very local place with a wonderful commitment to the quality of your experience. They've thought through all the details, provide an unbelievable taste without ever feeling pretentious or haughty. This is one of, if not the best, steak in Tulsa. The price point for the Ribeye is high (but not the highest in town). And the taste is amazing."

  • "We had not been back to Smoke since it changed ownership, weren't sure how it would compare. But it was great! Two in our party had the gazpacho and gumbo, both were excellent. Our grandson enjoyed the prime rib, and I had the house salad, small steak with truffle mashed potatoes and grilled okra. We all share a wonderful carrot cake, very artistically presented. Great evening. Warning - parking is always a hassle."

  • "The menu is varied, and we tried some foods we'd not had. Fried cauliflower could have been better because it was cold by the time it got to us. Shrimp and scallop risotto was excellent and the scallops were cooked well, which is not the easiest thing. My companion had quail which was nicely prepared but I think that quail (1st time for both of us) is not going to be either of our favorites. Panna cotta was excellent. Bread pudding had a funky texture, was very dense and not the greatest I've had. I think that they were trying to put their signature on bread pudding but I like the traditional prep the best. Noise level was acceptable. Service was very good."

  • "Some great brunch & lunch items and a brew list (national and local labels) to handle anyone's pallet. Oh, and the dinner menu is excellent, too. As their motto states, "Inspired American, locally sourced". Spot on!"

  • "This was a great choice for my birthday dinner with my husband. The quail leg appetizer and crab stuffed fried green tomatoes were awesome. We ordered the platter for 2 and everything was amazing. There was a rib eye, swordfish and 2 barbequed quail. Everything tasted so good. We had never had quail or swordfish so it was nice to have the variety. Also came with grilled okra which was so yummy, grilled/sautéed mushrooms and truffled potatoes. We would totally go back."

  • "We enjoyed being treated to a wonderful Father's Day brunch at Smoke. The service was prompt, the drinks, the food, all very well prepared and most importantly delivered and administered with good intentions. Very enjoyable. Recommend it highly!"

  • "Our dining experience at Smoke was incredible. The food was so fresh and delicious. Every aspect of the experience was exceptional. We will definitely go back"

  • "We enjoyed the food selection and the food we selected. Service was good (I grade hard on service). Drinks were a bit pricey. I took my bride for our anniversary. We'll definitely go again."

  • "Shrimp gumbo was to die for along with the grilled lettuce on my salad. Also the fried crab cake on a green tomato was insane delicious. From start to finish this restaurant blew me away. Only thing that didn't make it perfect was my wife wanted peach schnapps in her cosmopolitan and they do not have peach. Who doesn't have peach schnapps at a bar? Finished off the night watching hockey and smoking a cigar in the lounge in the back. Atta boy to the chef, owners and staff. Get some schnapps ;)"

  • "I understand and appreciate the mark up pricing on adult beverages as relates to owning a business, profit/loss, etc. That being said, in today's world of instant research via mobile devices, it is hard to order a $14 glass of wine when I can pick up the bottle for $17 at my local wine cellar. $14 for a $35 bottle maybe, not $17."

  • "I would easily rate Smoke one of the top ten best restaurants in Tulsa for lunch and dinner. It is consistently fabulous and has a very nice menu selection. The service is always fantastic as is the ambience. "

  • "It was a holiday weekend so the place wasn't very busy. Good food great service. "

  • "I had the smoked trout salad which I enjoyed and thought was quite tasty. My son didn't really like the biscuits (said they were sweet) and gravy but did like the bacon. "

  • "The menu has some delectable offerings such as bacon jam served with a creamy goat cheese spread and crostini. We even ordered some to take home. Their crab cake appetizer was crunchy deliciousness with a spicy bite. I ordered the lamb chops which were tender and cooked perfectly. It was served with sausage, white beans and kale. I always have their romaine salad which is seared on the wood fire for a moment and had a smoky taste. The service was excellent including the hostesses who graciously changed our table at the last moment. "

  • "First time I had tried Smoke on Cherry Street. Not a very large place, so definitely make reservations. Wine list was OK, not too large or too small and had a fairly good selection. The bacon jam appetizer was a delightful surprise...the right mixture of salty and sweet with the pungent bite of goat's cheese. The menu on Open Table was NOT the menu presented at dinner. Ordered the ribeye and my fiancee' ordered the Halibut. Steak was cooked properly, but was NOT a $40+ steak. Dessert was OK, but portion sizes are a bit chintzy on all items. My fiancee' is not a big eater and made a comment that we might have to stop somewhere on the way home to eat dinner. HAHAHA. Overall, not a bad experience, but not a good value for the price."

  • "My date and I went there on a Tuesday night and were pleasantly surprised that they werent too packed. It was nice and quiet inside. Our waitress was very attentive and was very knowledgable on the menu- she described several dishes to us and made good recommendations (it was our first time at Smoke). I ordered the Ribeye, rare. It had a good smokey flavor and was cooked properly. It wasn't quite as tender, and had a bit more grisle than I expected for a $40 steak, but overall it was good. The mashed potatoes and okra were great. My date had the Grilled scallops and she said they were excellent. Overall the restaurant was great, will definitely be back as they have a diverse menu with several other dishes I would like to try."

  • "Love the complimentary parking, food was awesome although I say I think they need some more selection. If They get some more on the menu and have their waiters Check on you a little more often then they are a 5 star restaraunt in my book. Good dining experience."

  • "I have dined here several times & have never been disappointed. Excellent food & presentation, attentive wait staff w/o being annoying. They now have valet parking which is a very nice touch as the parking is a little tight. So convenient to downtown. They chge the menu seasonally. Just a great place for an evening out w friends."

  • "We were in Tulsa for some other business and when it came to lunch , I searched Open Table for a place for lunch. The menu looked great and a bit diffrent so we decided to give it a try. I had the smoke trout salad and it was wonderful, my girl friend had a traditional breakfeast but it was outstanding! The thickness of the bacon! Wonderful. Bravo , it was a very pleasant surprise. If we are ever in Tulsa for an evening , we will be sure to try it for dinner"

  • "I ordered my steak medium. It came out medium rare. Sent it back & it still came back rare. So I didn't eat it. My friends steak was extremely rare but he didn't mind us much as I did. The waitress also brought the wrong drink to my husband. But he was nice & drank it"

  • "I invited 2 very country folks to Smoke for a business dinner. At first they were pretty intimidated and ordered exactly what I thought they would....steak & pork. Luckily the food was really good as usual and they loosened up a bit towards the end. While our server was nice, the service was perfunctory. I don't know if she was too busy, had decided we weren't "Smoke quality" or what but I never was asked if I needed another cup of coffee, had to ask for bread, refills on water etc.... I loved my salmon, it was stellar! The addition of valet parking was a master stroke."

  • "This was our first visit to Smoke. Two friends and I visited on Sunday for brunch. I ordered the waffle with bacon. The waffle was excellent, but the bacon was way undercooked. I took one bite of bacon and that was it. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy. She was not impressed and ate very little of it. The other friend in our party ordered the salmon salad. She was very happy with her order and raved about it. If I do return, I will know what to order next time. Although, with two out of three orders being less than desirable, it may be quite a while before I return. Disappointed, to say the least."

  • "The bacon app was very good. I ordered the new york strip with grilled okra. The steak had a great flavor, but was a little tough. I ordered the steak med-rare to avoid potential issues…but it was still on the tough side. My wife ordered ordered the goat cheese gnocchi and she found it was very good. Overall, it was good…but not great. Maybe will give it another try in the coming months. Side Note: I heard Smoke has a food truck that is managed by their original head chef. The food is rumored to be fantastic. Regards"

  • "I ordered the large rib eye, rare. The steak was not of the quality I would have expected for the price and was more medium rare than rare. My wife ordered the gnocchi and it was so salty that she couldn't eat it. Sadly we won't be returning to Smoke."

  • "We loved our food...everything tasted excellent on the Chef's Tasting Menu we had the night we visited. We especially loved the Chef's special risotto and the salmon. While everything was very good, those two foods were exceptionally wonderful. It was very quiet in the restaurant, but the weather may have contributed to fewer diners than usual and our experience may not be reflective of usual times. We look forward to returning for another meal at Smoke soon!"

  • "We regularly eat out upscale in Tulsa and our tab at smoke ran $30 higher than normal for 2. Food and service was good but nothing special to draw us back. This was our third visit since smoke opened because our first two experiences were not so great. No third strike, so we may return. The former 15th street. Grill was our hangout in the eighties so we like the location and. Nostalgia."

  • "What I really love about Smoke is their ability to prepare common foods (steak, fish, poultry) with a twist usually with the sides and sauces. I know several diners that discovered the like grilled okra which is nothing like its fried brethren. If you don't want to branch out your vegetable tastes, they will happily sub if something you'd enjoy. They also have several starch selections including grits, mac 'n cheese and potatoes. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this Cherry Street gem."

  • "I am really happy about Smoke's new valet parking. The last time we came we found it hard to find a parking spot. We arrived about 15 minutes early & expected to wait but were surprised that our table was ready for us. My wife instantly commented on how she was already feeling special. We were eager to try the Chef's tasting again & this time tried it with the wine pairing. Each course came promptly & provided a wonderful experience for all of our senses. It was absolutely wonderful. The wine pairings were perfect. When it was time to go the server retrieved our valet ticket. The car was waiting for us out front and the valet even stopped traffic to let us out. Great experience from the time we arrive until the moment we left."

  • "Smoke was my favorite restaurant. They had awesome Chicken Pasta dishes and Salmon, Manchengo fritters. However, they seem to change their menu. Removed chicken and other dishes from the menu. Unfortunately they did not replace them with better dishes. There was a group of us eating at Smoke weekly since they opened. Due to the changes in menu and not have a well rounded menu that includes some of the basics they have niched themselves out of our likes. To not have a couple of chicken Until they offer a well rounded menu it is hard for me to take customers and colleagues to the restaurant."

  • "Took my son there from out of town. Everything was great a always. Had chefs nicer block special, mahi, pork chop, 26 oz rib eye, enough to feed 3 much less two. Came with brussel sprout, okra & potatoes. This is one of our favorite places on Tulsa. Never disappointed."
