"Although one of our favorite spots in Pasadena, Smitty's has been going down hill recently. The last three or four times we have been there, the service has been consistently poor and the food spotty. The wait staff is not showing up on a timely basis. Drinks are taking too long to get throughout the meal and drink quality is going down. Recently we have been experiencing a rash of cold and late food. Although we send it back, and often the meal is taken off the bill, we are not looking for a free meal. We want a quality dining experience. We love the Smith Brothers restaurants. But someone needs to pay some attention to Smitty's before it falls off the list."

"Smitty's Grill has a classic old-world stylish setting, legendary photos of everyone from Muhammad Ali to Marilyn Monroe surround mirrored walls & plants give a nice touch creating an inviting atmosphere...then top that off with great food and service, you have a winning dining experience that is the finest Pasadena has to offer...fish special was fresh & grilled to perfection, braised short ribs melt in your mouth with the best tasting mashed potatoes since my grandmother made growing up & she was a totally awesome cook, eating at Smitty's Grill made me flash back on her amazing cooking...can't say enough about this sublime dining experience and crab crepes were over the top great as was Michael's flawless service & keep that Chef!"
