  • "Being from out of town we always know the food here will be fantastic."

  • "We had a friend coming in to town for a fun and memorable Vegas weekend. We are locals. He is battling cancer and we wanted to treat him to whatever he wanted. He choose Smith and Wollensky from a list I gave him of steakhouses. WE LOVED IT !!! They did give us a window table like I had requested. The food was spot on for all of us !! We really felt taken care of by all of the staff. It was a PERFECT 10 for us all ! We had steak, fish, desert , and wonderful cocktails !!! Our server was a great guy as well. I will recommended and return ! Thank you so much for everything !!!!!!"

  • "Meal was quite good but not without a couple of missteps - one of the steaks was ordered medium well and came to the table closer to med or even med rare. After-meal coffee was not even warm. On the plus side, the steaks were high-quality and service was outstanding (waiter "Mike"). The gorgonzola-crusted filet is superb, as was the wedge salad."

  • "We have been going to Smith and Wollensky's for years and have always gotten a high quality meal. I highly recommend it!"

  • "The best steak I ever ate! Had the steak topped with crab and asparagus. It was amazing and could have cut with my fork. We went early so the noise level was zero. Everyone was attentive and it was a perfect evening/meal!"

  • "Took out our mother's for Mother's Day, they enjoyed the food and the ambience. We thought the food was reasonable and the drinks poured a little lightly. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion (I enjoyed that they maintained the regular menu in addition to the added specials for the holiday) but not for a regular place to eat. Dinner for four with appetizer and four drinks (plus tip) came to over $500."

  • "We were looking for a good steak dinner for special get together with a friend who lives out of country. We ended up with a superb experience"

  • "The overall ambience of Smith + Wollensky Steak House in Las Vegas was fantastic but best of all was the superb customer service of the most succulent tasty Steak . The whole dining experience enhanced further by a good quality wine selection"

  • "Although my wife's steak had to be sent back twice, which was disappointing, everything else was fine. We were not charged for her steak which was very kind and professional!"

  • ".....i'm a big s&w fan....i particularly like the vegas location.....not sure what was going on monday night, but the restaurant just seemed to be off.....service was good but the steaks and sides just seemed to be off....not bad, but i just wasn't wowed.....i haven't lost hope in what's been a favorite and stand by steakhouse and hope this is just a hiccup......"

  • "Have eaten here plenty of times before. May have slipped half a notch but still very good. The pretzels and mustard butter are always a nice treat. The filet was good but the cajun style was too spicy for my taste. Never had the Lobster cocktail before - good, but more work and handling than I really wanted to do myself."

  • "The service was great and steak was superb! We've eaten at a couple other steak houses when our group goes out to Vegas but we decided going forward we'll always eat at Smith & Wollensky as others just don't stack up to S&W. We highly recommend them. Personally I ordered the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection and had great flavor."

  • "We ordered their signature aged ripe eye steak, it was a little bide over cooked but no affect to the taste or tenderness because of their meat quality. Will go back again July with my family this time."

  • "Had a group of 6 ate in the kitchen room that had glass walls so you could see the kitchen. Service and steaks were all very very good. I have been to many steak houses around the country and this S&W is at the top of the list"

  • "We always make it a point to eat here ! Steak is the best ! "

  • "This Smith's is on the Vegas strip. It's feels more like a carry out than a nice sit down restaurant. Felt dirty (example chairs, wall switches had fingerprints, sun shined on wine glasses and you could see smudges and spots). Our server and service was very good! The wedge salad was warm. My sons Caesar was warm also. I had the classic rib eye, my son had the 14 oz fillet. Fillet was very good and cooked right. My ribeye was just not tasty at all...lot of fat and almost charred--had an odd taste. Price was not bad. I'll opt for a nicer venue in the future and pay $50 more...it's worth it to get the whole experience right. "

  • "We always visit S&W when we stay in Las Vegas. Very convenient to the MGM Arena. We appreciate the hospitality and the food is just great."

  • "I've walked by this S&W numerous times on trips to Las Vegas, but never thought anything of it until I saw it on a Travel Channel Steak Paradise episode. I guess their specialty is dry aged, hand cut steaks, and a story about they picked their name. I had the Signature Bone-In Rib Eye. It was a cooked a little more than the rare that I asked for, but not enough to send it back. Other than that, it was very good. The bread they serve is good, but has salt sprinkled on top of it. I took half of it home for breakfast the next day. They charge $4 for tiny little Coke bottles, and charge for refills. The Wollensky Salad and baked potato were huge. I was there on the Sunday before Memorial Day - you would think it would be busy, but it wasn't."

  • "... the food was just ok. For a steak house, the steaks weren't very well seasoned or tasty at all. They also tend to undercook the food so if you ask for medium rare, be ready for a steak that's closer to the rare side of things. I ordered the cajun seasoned ribeye and it wasn't very spicy at all nor did it seem that it was even really seasoned. I tasted a bit of black pepper but I had to add a fair amount of salt just to get it right. For the money, I'd probably go to Ruth's Chris next time. The bar staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the wait staff was extremely friendly and engaging which made the overall experience pleasant but the food just couldn't be overlooked."

  • "Of all the steakhouses in Las Vegas, Smith & Wollensky is the best. The Scallop and Steak Tartare appetizers were delicious! Excellent, ultra soft Filet Mignons! An outstanding, extensive wine list (enjoyed the 10 year old St. Emilion), tasty desserts, and excellent service from our waiter Oscar!"

  • "This Smith & Wilensky's never fails to achieve success. I have been 6-7 times over the years, and when I need to ensure I have a great night with clients in Vegas I head over to S&W. From the friendly, not stiff front door staff, to the thoroughly professional bartender George (18 years at the restaurant), to the attentive but not obsequious or intrusive wait staff, it is a first class steak house. The food and wine are always perfect. Thanks guys, I'll be back, hopefully many times. "

  • "Great service from start to finish. By start I mean 8 hours before our reservation. I had wanted champagne at our table side when I made the reservation so I got a call from the restaurant so they could send me a wine list. I had told them I ended up changing my mind about the champagne and said I didn't want it. The person on the phone was very gracious and did not push anything else on me which I thought was great. When we got there our table was ready and we had a ton of help from different staff, all very professional and nice. The food was awesome. Steak was perfectly cook. The sides were delicious and hot. The only thing that was lacking a bit in seasoning was the ribeye Carpaccio. All in all great night!"

  • "Its always expensive, the portions are huge huge huge, one side is fit for 3-4 people, dont get carried away, the wine was simply superb and a reasobale cost, the waiter was excellent, interactive but considerate"

  • "While not as trendy as some of the newer in-casino steakhouses on the strip (perhaps because we were seated near the entrance and it feels as though there's a bit less ambiance in that room) the steaks were by far some of the best I've had in Vegas. I had the bone-in rib-eye and a friend got the bone-in filet so each could try the other and ... indeed, both were amazing. I enjoyed this meal just as much as the many I've had at my (former?) favorite steak house in Vegas, Delmonico's. I actually ended up here because Delmonico's was full due to the Mayweather fight crowd. Don't forget the crab lump shrimp appetizer and the "dulce de leche"-style creme brulee - that's not what it is called, but it tastes just like nutella!"

  • "This is the second time we have dined there. The first time the food was amazing. This time, not so much. It appears that the chef's use salt in place of taste now. The pea soup and the scollops were so salty they were inedible. Another thing (it's a personal peev) is that they have way too many people serving you. We had at least 5 different people come to the table for various things. It is easy to forget who the actual waiter is. But, they are all friendly and helpful. Given the prices, I will have to think twice before going again."

  • "This location had a lovely ambiance, and delicious food. Our server was wonderful, gave us enough space but checked on us frequently enough. The steak was the best I've ever had, and the sides are huge! Definitely enough for 2 or 3 people. If you're looking for a quiet place with an airy and light atmosphere with delicious steak, this is it."

  • "We love this restaurant and go every time we come to Las Vegas . But this time three out of the six steaks that were ordered was not cooked correctly was quite disappointed. We will go again because they usually do much better"

  • "I must be honest and say we were disappointed in the steaks. We had bone in ribeye and filet. They both were average and definitely not what I expected for this price range. However, great service. "

  • "As you should expect, the steaks from the Steaks and Chops section (the higher priced section) of the menu were superb, done to perfection and flavorful beyond outstanding. We were discouraged from ordering from the lower priced section, but after all, it was our choice. The service was attentive, and accommodating, but not overbearing and no hovering. Our server suggested sharing salads and sides, which we did. The Wollensky salad and the creamed spinach were both excellent; the grilled asparagus, not so much. We received a complimentary desert in honor of my wife's birthday. All-in-all, the whole experience was fantastic, exceeded my expectations and very memorable. And hopefully, the most expensive dinner I'll ever eat."

  • "The dining room was too crowded and too noisy - it was like a mess hall full of grown men in dinner jackets. If you are looking for quiet place to have good steak - this is not it. "
    Dined on 4/8/2014
  • "Outstanding food... I had the bone in filet and it was a perfect 10. Wine list was excellent... service very good. No crowded on a Thursday night at 7 PM"

  • "We dined at this establishment for a birthday celebration and would recommend it again. The crab cake, truffle Mac and cheese, filet and lobstertail were delicious. I would pass on the bone in ribeye and grilled asparagus- both tasted off and bitter from being charred. "
