We were very disappointed in the food, we were hoping for the best meal ever.Salad was ok, baked potato was hardly warm & filet was tough. Cheesecake & coffee was very good. Our waiter was excellent!! I ate at S &W in Las Vegas and it was outstanding. We should have gone to our favorite J Alexanders or even Ruth's Chris. Maybe just an off night, not ready to rush back for another try.

This was my first time to Smith & Wollensky at Easton. I was somewhat surprised when I opened up the menu and saw the prices, but am not opposed to spending money on a phenomenal meal, which is where my expectations were set at that point. My wife and I each ordered a drink, no appetizers as we weren't that hungry. The server was very good, my wife asked if they had any special hot cocktails, because it was very cold outside. He replied that they did not, so she ordered a provisional beverage and then he said he would check and see what they could do, and bring her something to try. He returned with a concoction made of hot cider, vodka, and some liquor that was very good and my wife was pleased. The dinner rolls came out, they were ok but not impressive. My wife ordered a filet topped with Gorgonzola and bacon (medium), I ordered the dry aged "Signature 24 oz Bone-in Ribeye," (medium-rare) and we ordered the truffle mac & cheese to split as a side. The dishes came out in a timely fashion, and we dug in for a taste. The steaks were cooked to the appropriate temperature, and the bacon that came with my wife's steak was very good and cut into 3/4" pieces. My steak was not what I expected. It was cut rather thin, and was unremarkable in flavor with no sear, and no seasoning. The flavor of the meat was decent, but I could have had a better steak at a neighbor's house or certainly at home. The truffle mac & cheese was decent, but a more delicate touch would have been appropriate with the truffle flavor. It was overpowering, and I think it works best as a complimentary flavor. Bottom Line: Our experience at S&W was not bad. We had good service, and a decent meal. My problem with it was that for $200 for a couple to dine out, there are many many places in Columbus that we could have a far better meal (or two). The food was average, the service was good, but we will take our money to Mitchell's next time we want high-end steak. Not coming back.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. We made the reservation knowing we would need some refueling after shopping. Our server was excellent and the food was hot and delicious. The martinis were bountiful and the beer was cold. I will recommend all our friends and family do the same when shopping at Easton. We plan to return soon during this holiday shopping season.

My wife and I ate here while in Columbus for the weekend. We were able to get a reservation on short notice. The service was excellent -- our waiter was very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. I had the filet and she had the lobster with crab. The steak was good, and the onion rings were excellent. Had a great zinfandel wine too! We did not feel rushed at all, which is definitely something we look for when eating at a higher-end restaurant. We will definitely eat here again!

Had to wait about 10 minutes for my table... I made reservations so my 8month pregnant wife wouldn't need to stand and wait. After we were seated it was more waiting, about 10 to 15 minutes before our order was taken. More waiting... Almost 45 minutes before food arrived. For a $51 steak I expect perfection. It was a perfect medium... But I ordered a medium rare. I've honestly had better steaks for less money. It was good... But I expected great.

Started out with their signature salad - practically an entree salad - and we really enjoyed it. The smallest steak size seemed to be 10 oz which was too much for me and my husband after the salad and delicious bread. It is a bit of a pricey restaurant - so for us it is only a place we can go to for a special occasion.

This was my first visit to Smith and Wollensky's, and it didn't disappoint. Everything from start to finish was done just right. I was very impressed with the wine list and the option of good wines at reasonable prices. The steak (14 oz. filet) was worth every penny! I would certainly recommend S & W to anyone looking to have an upscale dining experience while at Easton.

The day of the reservation I received a phone call to confirm and inquire about any special occasions. I told them my parents were celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary, along with our October birthdays. They started dinner with a glass of champagne for both parents and ended the meal by bringing a few pumpkin creme brulees and a huge chunk of chocolate cake for the kids. It was a great dining experience without the food and then you throw the five star steaks into the mix. Great deal with Silver Oak wine also. All 16 of us were thrilled.

We went because it was recommended by friends. The trio of filet was not as tasty as discribed on the menu. I can make better mushrooms at home. The milk chocolate brûlée was just ok. However, the filet with fois gras was excellent as well as the tuna tartare. There is no child's menu. Also the use of truffle oil in the Mac & cheese isn't special!

We brought clients here for dinner and had a fantastic time. Very professional waiters, attentive but not overbearing. Noise level was good for conversation, but not so quiet that it seemed like a library. Solid menu and wine list, big sized portions. Definitely a special occasion type place, pricier that most if not all other options at Easton.

My husband's birthday celebration was fabulously awesome! Our section where we could interact with all the children and grandchildren, great. The food is very good, but tonight everything was perfect. A first-time try of the Bone-in Filet convinced him it is by far the best steak. It's true. Closer the bone the sweeter the meat. I tasted it and how sweet it is! Taylor was attentive as were his assists. The Grand Finale (for which we saved room) was unbelievably delicious. OH MY. Imagine moist, flavorful Chocolate, Carrot, and Coconut Cakes presented on a wide black tray, emblazened with berries galore. The most wonderful celebration we have ever had... best celebration in the 12 years we have been dining @ S&W. Thank You

The restaurant was not crowded at all when we were there, however, we waited quite a long time for our dinner for two people. The steaks were outstanding and done perfectly. Unfortunately, the baked potato was only luke warm. I had to wait to have my water refilled, which is not what you'd expect at this type of restaurant.

The difference between a good and a very good or great restaurant is what Smith & Wollensky Columbus represents. The menu is excellent and the food is good but the service is lacking. This was the 18th or 19th time I have dined at this restaurant in the past 14 months. I've met the same servers and maitre d' and not a single one can even remotely remember that I had ever dined with them before. That's what makes a difference. The server always asks "Is this your first time?" Really? Furthermore, some of the servers seem on a major "upsell" mission which is a little "used car salesman-ish" for a restaurant of this reputation. Good but far from great which is too bad given what we spend.

We really had a great time. Our service was excellent. We had two servers that were both informative without being robotic. Everyone there was smiling and seemed earnestly happy to be there. The Gorganzola filet I had was delicious and although only the 10oz portion, was plenty of food. The truffled macaroni and cheese, sinfully good and still bubbling when it came to the table. I recommend this place to everyone.

I don't mind paying a premium for the food. Nor the service. Both were excellent and we've gone to S&W multiple times. But the 2.5 X retail markup on the wine is tough to take. May be closer to 3 times on the very best wines. I think it probably inhibits many people from enjoying a bottle of wine there that is equal to the quality of the meal. And for those of us who pay attention to what a premium wine costs when we buy it for our home collections, I wonder sometimes if S&W believes we are fools when it comes to the wine list. Sparking water, anyone?

Arrived 4:30 empty. Seated immediately. Slow service at first. Then was fine. Bread excellent. Whipped potatoes still soaking in butter. Truffled mac and cheese average. Cajun filet over cooked and soaking in oil and spices. Bone in Ribeye had very little flavor. First time visitor. Would probably not return. Not a wow factor. Used small aluminum cans for soda.
