Was a bit taken aback by the location of the restaurant in a strip mall, but was pleasantly surprised upon entry. The staff was very friendly and we got seated in a great spot (perhaps because we made a prior reservation) Great ambiance and vibe. The one, and only spot of slight disappointment was the Seafood Paella. It's certainly a dish that is relatively easy to pull off "good" but quite hard to be made "great" as the freshness and quality of seafood make all the difference. I found the clams to taste rather fishy, and there was not much chorizo in the dish (probably to be expected as it is a SEAfood paella) Perhaps a Jambalaya would serve the menu and available ingredients better, but overall, the experience was great, and I'll definitely visit again.

Food is great but this is my third visit each time there was a very loud inebriated group dominating the atmosphere. The servers could use a little training but overall not bad. The chef has a nice twist on common dishes the ribs are excellent best in the region!!

Got together for a business dinner meeting at Smash and the host seated us at a table for 4 in the main dining room. When we asked if she could give us a more quiet area she then without question or hesitation offered us the small room off to the side that could seat up to 8 to 10 people. My guests were visiting for the first time and they were blown away by the menu and the quality of the food and service. I am a regular at Smash and everything we up to my expectations as usual. The new menu has many options that I am looking forward to trying.

We love any excuse to meet friends and colleagues for lunch or dinner at Smash. We have always been treated well, and the food is excellent. This last visit was the only time I wouldn't have given them a five out of five on the food. I ordered the steak sandwich and loved the steak and the toppings (mushrooms and fried onions done wonderfully - delicious). The only quibble I have is that the bread it was on was very difficult to cut with a fork and knife - quite tough. Kinda ruined things as I fought intently with the sandwich during a business lunch. Otherwise, the food is always great and the service even better. Everyone is very friendly there, and they always seem to be happy to see us.

I was went to this place with my fiancee, who had been there before and said it was good. I had the soup of the day and mushroom linguini. She had the seafood risotto. Both the soup and risotto were too salty. It may have been an off day, but I'm willing to try it again.

My husband (who's a fabulous cook) and I were celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary with our 2 young children (ages 7&4) and wanted to try a new place. Being "foodies" we have a hard time finding kid-friendly restaurants with good quality food. I had read many positive reviews on Open Table & Trip Advisor so we decided to check this place out. So glad we did!!! My husband has the steak, which was cooked perfectly to his liking, served with potatoes and veggies. I chose from their three course menu and had the most delicious beet salad, chicken and mushroom gnocchi and chocolate cake. Our kids had the sliders. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The ambiance was perfect and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

We went to Smash Kitchen and Bar to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly! The appetizers were especially good. They have a price set, three course menu for $35.00. I ordered the main of this special menu without asking for the price for the individual item I was ordering which ended up being $28.00. In hindsight I should have just got the three-courses, since we were ordering appetizers anyways. Just a little tip if you are interested in only certain items from the price fixed menu.

Based on a glowing recommendation by a co-worker, I took my whole family and were impressed with the food (calamari, BBQ wings & ribs, ahi tuna, striploin, lamb shank, chicken & ribs, mini donuts & molten cake) drinks (lychee martini), service and atmosphere. Then my boyfriend and I opted for the patio but was turned off by the mosquitoes. But the accommodating service and the delicious food made it a memorable date experience (seafood cake is a 10!) So it just makes sense to host my birthday at Smash. However, the food fell a little short. I recommended the chicken and ribs and lamb shank to everyone but the chicken was overdone and the lamb shank was to salty. Service and atmosphere was still amazing, so I will still come back.

Went with a group of 5 and the seafood risotto, dairy free butternut squash soup and mushroom linguine were okay. I had a penne a la vodka which was too dry, the burger was fair but had some burnt parts that had to be removed. We ordered a steak as well but felt it was overpriced at $27 for 6oz. Had to constantly ask for the water to be refilled because they didn't swing by to check.

I don't like restaurants that stop serving sandwiches after 4pm and this one is like that. There are all of these wonderful sandwiches available before 4 but when we asked if we could get one, we were told no. So the selections are pizza, pasta, something big like a fish or steak dinner, salad or burgers - my cheeseburger was $16.00 and then $2.00 more for sp fries. This was your regular run of the mill burger - good but not worth $16!!! I've been 3 times, won't go back.

I had dinner with couple of friends and the waitress was very friendly. Our waitress kept coming to ask if everything was okay and if we need anything. Even the manager came over and asked us how everything was. Food was good and nicely presented. It seemed that there were a lot of people standing by the Bar area. It was a bit noisy and loud, I would not recommend if you are looking for a romantic dinner though. It will be okay if it is for a family dinner or friends get together.

I was there with 3 girlfriends on Monday, and am delighted to enjoy their $1 corkage fee special! The wines there start at around $40, which is reasonable for a restaurant, but we managed to buy 3 bottles of casual wines there for the same amount of money. With the money saved, we managed to try a lot of great dishes: grilled calamari, ribs, ahi tuna wontons (must try!), Neptune pizza and Angry Lobster linguini (best in town).

My friends and I went here for dinner for a girls night out. The server was patient, friendly, and knowledgable. The food was delicious with large portion sizes. The only draw back was the bad sewage smell we had around our table. We were. near the patio door, so perhaps the smell was coming from outside. But it got so bad that we decided not to stay longer. Made reservations for 6 using Open Table (highly recommended). Celebrating my in laws anniversary. They are in their mid 80's and very particularly about eating out. They love this place! FIL and DH had the salmon. MIL and myself had the scallop special. Cooked perfectly, moist and tender. The quinoa was on the sweet side. Might help with a wedge of lemon. All good. DS had the mushroom linguine - smells and tasted wonderful. DD had their mac and cheese which is now her staple. Finished with their mini donuts, smash apple and banana chocolate cake - perfect ending to a perfect meal. Jason as usual, was all attentive and helpful with the meal choices. We highly recommend this place.

Purchased a Groupon voucher and used it on a Sunday to celebrate hubby's birthday. Our reservation was at 11am, just when it opened. Not very busy; however, the food took forever. At least 30 mins. Server never came by to apologize for the delay. The TVs were the only good thing to kill time while we waited for food. Asked the server for an extra set of cutlery for my son, but he forgot. Noticed people waiting to be seated for the longest time but no one ever acknowledged them. Poor service overall. Asked for the bill. The server forgot to deduct the groupon voucher. Had to wait another 10 mins to get the bill corrected. Would never come here again. Total disappointment.

we weren't greet by the host with any "smile". The ladu who pours water for us looks "unhappy" as she has NO response wve when we thanks her for pouring the water for us, HOWEVER, she was VERY TALKATIVE to the guys who sat in the next tabl to us. After pouringthe water for them, shed chats and laughs with them, I just don't know or understand WHY???? I ordered the seafood rissoto, it was VERY SALTY, consider I am taking Blood Pressure pills, I can't finish the whole plate due to the "saltinees" in the dish. My daughter is lactose intolerance, the waitress didn't ask about that when we order the pasta dish, whereas A LOT of other restaurant did remind the customer if they can take cheese. Anyway, I don't think its worth my second visit!

Good service from energetic, positive wait staff. Fabulous Ceasars salad light and flavourful. Smash burger was delicious. Appetizer dips were mediocre and the naan too sweet. Salmon salad was good including the perfectly cooked salmon but overly dressed and too wet. Good lobster linguine, nice bite but not extraordinary. If you love barbecue chips, you will love the barbecue chicken salad because that's what it tastes like from beginning to end. An overly strong latte was replaced within 40 seconds. Staff took note of the allergies at the table without making the customer feel like a pariah. For that alone, they merit a recommendation.

Went here for a birthday; got a nice little private room so that my group can actually hold a conversation. Food was great and service was really good. The waiter knew his menu well and was quick to answer questions. We had a group of 10; not huge, but still a handful. This place is great for girls night out, family dinners, birthdays etc. Lots of parking (which is always nice). It was a Thursday night, so it was not crowded, but still had good energy

We've been to this restaurant 3 times within 2 months. Their steaks are really good. Portions are big and so far all entrees we tried were good. Their waiters are smart. Since we briefly mentioned that we wanted to share some of the entrees, they would bring the extra plates for us to share when the food comes before we asked. The waiter heard that it was my son's birthday, he quickly went to get him a cake pop then told him to turn around so that he wouldn't see him giving my daughter another cake pop so that she wouldn't be disappointed. They know kids and made all of us laughed. Even one of our friends who doesn't particularly like western food said that he would come again. Will definitely recommend it to others.
