Small PlatesHappy Overall!We had a wonderful dinner before the Opera! Everyone in our party had many options to choose from, one vegan,one vegetarian and two foodies! The service was friendly, prompt and efficient. We had ordered the Fish tacos and for some reason tried to serve them to us three times. Not sure what the confusion was but, that was the on;y thing that seemed a little odd. My friends had recommended the Mac and Cheese and the Sweet Potato Fries, and the Bumpy Cake.So, for dessert we enjoyed the Bumpy Cake, the texture was a little dry but had a deep chocolaty flavor.I would definitely make a return visit!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIntimate TimeMy wife and I often eat at Small Plates on our way to the opera or for an intimate time away from work and the kids. We have been here a number of times and now it is our favorite place to eat when coming up from Toledo to see a show! We have had many of the items on the menu and everything is fabulous! We always have a hard time trying to narrow down our selections. Some of our favorites are the fish tacos, the sweet potato fries, and the to die for turkey burger sliders!! The menu had so many choices that we couldn't decide what to get. Food was consistently over-salted on this occasion; but we love the creativity and the changing selection. However the service staff attempted to be on top of things, but seemed overwhelmed with the crowd. My party of 4 were headed to the Opera House and the food was delayed. One person had to scarf down their dinner. Food is always excellent; chef is very accommodating for those with food allergies. Had never been there before and were very pleased. We both ordered two small plates and that was more than adequate for our meal.
