Every thing was delish.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe very much enjoyed the porkWe very much enjoyed the pork Wienerschnitzel dinner. It is actually hard to find that dish nicely done in Portland. The ambience and food are highly reminiscent of a comfortable tavern meal in Germany. We look forward to returning.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMJust had brunch at the SlideJust had brunch at the Slide Inn. Had never been before. looking forward to going back for happy hour/late nite. Great place, tremendous food, nice lounge area & laid back staff.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Slide Inn has an eclecticThe Slide Inn has an eclectic atmosphere with delectable, to die for, cuisine. The variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes are great for those that are gluten intolerant (Only place we have seen to offer gluten free tempura). However, don’t let the variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes discourage you; there are abundant options for meat lovers. My wife, son, and I all got different appetizers and entrées and everything was delicious. Not on the menu, but they also had a gluten free chocolate torte that would satisfy any die hard chocolate fan. The one down side is there was only one waitress at the time and service was a bit slow, but we didn’t feel neglected. Please, do yourself a favor and Slide Inn for a scrumptious dining experience.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the transformed IlThis is the transformed Il Piatto - same owners, same location. Some of the old favorites are still on the menu, and there are some wonderful new additions. Rather than having a strictly Italian focus, it now includes German and Swiss dishes as well. All are delicious (we tried 5 things!), and the service was gracious. I will definitely go back. I hope others realize that this is not just a new restaurant, but rather a new version of an long-standing success.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
