Evidently Slate is on its second Chef since opening. I missed the first, but the current chef (May 2013) is promising. Menu is nicely varied---ranging from burgers to risottos and nicely done fish. Noise level is, yes, "energetic," but my sense is that most of the patrons like that. Wait staff was charming and devoted. Patrons seemed stylish and discerning. Service was very good too.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to Slate a few timesI've been to Slate a few times and always enjoy myself. Most recently a large group of us went for brunch for my birthday. The staff was very attentive, friendly and made us feel at home. The was wonderful and everyone had a good time. I'm looking forward to going back again in the near future!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to slate wine barWe went to slate wine bar for brunch a few weeks back, it was wonderful! The doughnut holes for appetizers were excellent! Both brunch entrees were delicous. The staff was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
