  • "Good place for lunch meeting if going to the convention center. Short 10 minute walk through skyway. Staff was very accomadating."

  • "I chose Skywater for the American cuisine and proximity to Orchestra Hall. I had tickets with my 10 year old dauther for the MN Orchestra concert that night. The kids menu did offer good options for kids but I thought the adult menu was confusing and loacked options. If you want pizza this is the place to go but if you want a good steak or pasta dish, go elsewhere."

  • "We thought a downtown hotel restaurant would be fancy and delicious... but it was neither. The atmosphere was rather neutral, fine for a family. The food was particularly disappointing - we tried all three soups, and only the kale was edible. The pulled pork sandwich was great, but the onion rings were mushy. The service was nice, but slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy."

  • "New Pizzas they are offering are excellent. We got a Gluten Free Crust and Flat Bread crust and shared, both of which are excellent. Great kids menu, as they had a kids pizza in which my daughter put the toppings on, then they went to cook it. 15 or 20 Great Drafts on tap, and my wife had a house cocktail made with fresh ginger that was tasty. TV screens and music videos make this place fun."

  • "People need to check out these pizzas. Thin crust is terrific, and gluten free available as well. We really enjoyed the California BBQ Chicken Pizza. Well done, and service was friendly and fast."

  • "We did have a couple of minor problems however the food was awesome. I would definitely go back."

  • "This is our go-to spot before Orchestra Hall concerts so web have not been there for several months. The menu has changed drastically with our favorite items gone. It seems like a high class pizza and sandwich venue. However with input from Manuel, our excellent waiter , we had a tasty meal. The noise level was so loud we had a difficult time conversing. The private booths in the back were not being used although we and several other patrons had requested them. We were disappointed in all the changes."

  • "The food was great! fire baked wings were amazing! Side of roasted beets with bacon were delicious! The server (Tim) was completely frazzled and did not seem to have the situation handled. He kept telling us that everyone sat down at once and that he "already spent too much time at our table" while we were ordering. The drinks and food took a long time to come. The place was 3/4 full, but not full. It was about 1030pm on a week day. Overall, I would come here again (since I was staying at this hotel)."

  • "Menu except for pizza is very limited for a hotel of this size"

  • "We ate in the lower level in the restaurant for the Friday night Pizza special. The pizza's were very good and love the presentation when they bring it to the table; they place it on top of a display piece in the center of the table. The flat bread crust they came on was very tasty. We had other tables glancing over at our pizzas and asking their server what we ordered! Great service and Great food. If you want the pizza special make sure you sit in the lower level of the restaurant as they do not serve them in the bar right now! Better yet, make a reservation as the Hilton is right in the heart of downtown so they are very popular. Enjoy."

  • "Food was okay. Wild Rice Soup had little taste. Potato skins were frozen store quality. Bison burger was delicious."

  • "Was unexpectedly crowded so it worked out great that I had just gotten a reservation through Open table on the way to the restaurant. We arrived early and they were able to seat us as soon as our table got open. We even were able to add one person to the two of us. they were very accommodating."

  • "We chose Skywater for dinner before the orchestra. The pizza was very good. One friend had the Greek salad and said it was excellent. We will try them again for location, service and food."

  • "My friend and I stopped in for a quick lunch and were amazed by the food. Great selection of items on the menu and the food was delicious!"

  • "We were pleasantly surprised that they were offering a new line of pizzas. They were fantastic. My kids were able to make their own pizzas which is a really cool idea. My husband and I had the Happy Hawaiian and Pear & Cheese pizzas with gluten free crust Great draft beer selection. Book a booth they are comfortable."

  • "Went recently with some friends and we loved their new specialty pizzas! Our favorites were the French Porky Figg pizza with brie cheese and the Pear & All Spice soda...YUM. Staff was so friendly and accomodating, food was delicious. We will come back again and again."

  • "They started a new pizza menu in addition to their existing menu. The California BBQ and Upside Down Italian were delicious. Gabby was our server and was phenomenal. He suggested the dessert shots, key lime was delicious. Highly recommend."

  • "They've changed the concept a little with a fantastic new Pizza Menu. We tried three of the ten, and they were excellent. I recommend the Hail Caesar, California BBQ Chicken, and the French Porky-Fig. The Flat crust is just crunchy enough without being over done. Lots of cool ingredients on the pizzas. Plus, my kid was able to "make her own" pizza. Great value to with prices of the pizzas starting in the $6 range. We will back for Kid's eat Sunday's and Monday's"

  • "They are featuring a brand new pizza menu. It includes some real cool flavor options. I think it was 8-10 different unique pizza options. Tried the French Porky Fig = Awesome. Tried the Italian Upside Down = sausage & spinach were unique & fresh and it had the sauce on top. Service from Dustin was very friendly and always smiling. Need to try this new place, they now call the Cove at night."

  • "We have enjoyed this restaurant before. It is very handy for Orchestra Hall. However in the time the orchestra has not been playing the menu seems to have really changed and the restaurant seemed terribly short staffed"

  • "Sometimes going to a place you don't know can turn out not so good. That was not the case with my first experience at Skywater. A limited menu/special occasion dinner turned out to be better than planned. Food was great, atmosphere was a perfect mix of busy but quiet. We had a great time and will come back again."

  • "Great idea! Nice selections of entrees, salad, desserts!"

  • "The service was exceptionally poor and this is coming from a guy who rarely criticizes food service. We were "greeted" apathetically by the hostess but were seated promptly. We were received by our waiter after about five minutes. He poured us each a glass of water with the list of entrée specials and proceeded to disappear for quite some time. He did not offer us a choice of beverage or simply a drink menu. After about 10 minutes he returned to take our food order. Our salad was delivered promptly, at which time we requested a drink menu. After about 40 minutes, we learned that our entrées were "delivered to the wrong table". Once my distain was expressed, the rest of the meal was spectacular. Good price and excellent food."

  • "Selected this restaurant because of its proximity to Orchestra Hall which we attended for a concert. The food was good, not great, but there was a 35 minute gap from when we finished our salad and the main entree was served. The whole dining experience took nearly 90 minutes from initial sitting."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The service is never consistant.consistent. This time it was terrible. Our server told us that he had to serve 30 tables."
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "We went for dinner; my only problem was it took forever to grab anyone's attention and get seated. It wasn't that busy and there appeared to be ample staff. Things slowly turned around after we finally got a table. Sandwiches and sides are delicious, but portions are small and overpriced. We had a good experience overall."

  • "The wild rice soup was amazing! Quinoa salad was unique and delicious..like a dessert! The salmon was perfect!"

  • "Was greeted by a wait staff that had no idea about reservations. We were seated by a Hostess and a bartender/waiter greeted us, He was the only staff person there. We ordered. More people showed up. We were served cold food and we were in need of more beverages. Not the fault of the Bartender/Waiter. They need to hire more staff!"

  • "there's 4 of us and they put us in a very small round table. they don't clear the table right away, 4 out of 5 glasses in the small table were empty and the waitress asked if we need anything.. hmm yeah, we need water. not a lot of food choices. not going back again."

  • "Did not realize that we only had buffet as a choice. We are not big eaters and would have preferred ordering from the menu"
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "The high point for me was the wonderful service we had. The Greeter was lovely, and our waiter was wonderful. He was attentive, informed, and there when we needed him. The food was ok......for a buffet, which it was. Salad that looked like a bagged salad from the supermarket with a few grape tomatoes thrown on top. Prime rib was two thick slabs tossed onto a salad plate, and the baby carrots tasted metallic. Ambiance; None. Felt like I was eating at Denny's, but with very high ceilings."

  • "Even though I'm local, I enjoy breakfast often at the Skywater. The Christmas Day brunch ($35) had most of the excellent offerings of the regular breakfast buffet ($17) plus premium shrimp cocktail, cheeses, desserts, cod, turkey and all the sides, and roast beef. Also the omelet station but with so much to choose from, I had to draw a line somewhere. Quality of the service was exceptional - I felt warmly welcomed. Lots of happy energy from the families and small groups. One party of around 15 knew the perfect solution to a holiday family meal: sumptuous variety, highest quality, enveloping atmosphere and service, and no dishes or cleanup. And the kids looked like they were having fun being more "grown up" in their best clothes."

  • "the food was decent, but the brunch was very high priced there were lots of servers available, but it took a long time to flag down our waitress each time we wanted something"

  • "Skywater was an excellent choice for Christmas Brunch. The food was displayed very nicely, the staff was very friendly. The food choices were many and very good. I have and will recommend this restaurant to friends and family for future meeting places."

  • "Food was excellent. Staff were friendly but we had to be reseated initially. After that all went well. Excellent choice for the Christmas Day Brunch. Cost was about 10% higher (before tax and tip) than the advertised price."

  • "Skywater had been recommended by a colleague as a nice quiet place to grab a quick lunch and conduct business. The restaurant is rarely crowded over the lunch hour and is very quiet. We were seated in the bar area and were able have nice lunch. Prices are reasonable for a hotel restaurant."
    Dined on 11/18/2013
  • "Too bad. Good location. Ariabata sauce was really putanesca. Not any spicy flavor or heat. The wild rice soup needed, at least, salt and pepper. The side order of beets came at the end of the meal. The server apologized when we objected, but did not offer Them on the house. We won't be back."
