Skyline ClubElegant & RomanticFor an elegant, romantic and peaceful dinner this is a great option. Hint it is on the sw corner of New York and Illinois street or the nw corner of Ohio and Illinois street. Restaurant is at the top of an office building. The building is closed after hours so the entrance is a bit tricky to find. It is 1 star short of extreme elegance but still elegant and cozy. I guess it is a private club open to OpenTable members so that was pretty neat. To me the out people go to the inn places and the in people go to the out places. This is an outplace.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food service andIncredible food service and views. Once again we were greeted with friendly faces and were treated like celebrities. I had mentioned we were celebrating my birthday early when I made the reservation. To my surprise our table had a huge bouquet of balloons! The staff all wished me a happy birthday. I felt so special. To top it off the food was once again absolutely wonderful. The salad had a round of panko crusted fried goat cheese on top...blew my mind - was a perfect compliment to the citrus vinaigrette, greens, strawberries and candied walnuts. I also loved the scallops with ribbons of squash and the smoked salmon ravioli were divine as well. We look forward to dining there again soon!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMView from the Top was Top Notch...Skyline was extremely impressive as far as ambiance and the extraordinary view are concerned. The food was less impressive than I expected, and I will definitely never order a Hanger Steak again. I'm assuming its an acquired taste, since the waitress said it is very popular. If you prefer a filet/ribeye, don't get the hanger. The pork chop was impeccable. The service was top notch, and the way they show you the wine list is very fun! Original, fun and classy.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for Easter brunchWe went for Easter brunch Eggsravaganza and really enjoyed it as a family event. The room was decorated nicely and the view is excellent. They had an Easter Bunny and outstanding balloon artist for entertainment and our two girls (8 & 9)loved it. They had a good selection of drinks, appetizers, entree foods, and desserts that suited adults and children alike. It was a buffet, so other than the egg station it was not prepared to order but we liked most everything. The service was good and a 20% servie charge was automatically added to the bill. Parking was a little confusing because the garage was closed on Easter Sunday.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very romantic, memorableWe had a very romantic, memorable dinner!
