Diner Reviews
  • "Had the bone marrow, steer and pier, and the lunar orbiter. All excellent choices. Staff was very knowledgable and helpful."

  • "You don't go to the Space Needle for the food, it's about the view! We ate our meals and enjoyed the most awesome scenery imaginable! We went at the right time to see the sunset over the Sound. You should too! Unfortunately, our waitress was pleasant, but remarkably inattentive. That's a bummer when you're spending that kind of money. The restaurant was wonderfully kid-friendly. We enjoyed some cocktails and were surprised by the relatively low drink prices. Even bottles of wine were not outrageously priced. We tried a broad range of menu items and found that the quality varied. They were all good, but none were brilliant."

  • "In spite of other diners reviews I give the restaurant high marks. I am not one to rate anything exceptionally high but food and service were excellent. It was a real bargain when you think that just a ride to the observation platform is $18...per. I was somewhat disappointed that I was there for my 35th wedding anniversary and made reservations months ahead...and got nothing but a card."

  • "We enjoyed the experience very much. Our kids, 9 and 15, had a great time. It was nice they offered our older son a kids menu so he would have more options, even tho he went with an adult entree. Our waiter, Fabio, noticed our younger liked cherries and brought him extra with each drink. Made him feel special! We knew it would be expensive, but definitely worth it."

  • "Had dinner for four. All of us are from Seattle and decided on the Needle as kind of a once-every-decade lark at a landmark. Food was good. Service was good. A little noisy and lots of tourists, but that was mostly all to be expected. Beautiful evening and views, of course. The only drawback was the noise level. However, we all were from Seattle and knew what to expect because of our previous visits."

  • "What a change from years ago! Still pricey , but now delicious. My salmon was perfectly prepared- fresh and moist. The pea vines made a lovely but hard to cut accompaniment. They move an amazing number of people in and out just in time for your reservation. Herding with a big payoff."

  • "Food was overpriced for the quality/quantity. Had the day's "special", surf and turf, 6oz fillet with a 6oz Maine lobster tail. Steak was pretty flavorless, my wife's was overcooked. The tail was overcooked as well and a bit tough. The baby potatoes on the side were delicious. Certainly not worth the $89 price tag. Service was great, view was of course spectacular. If we go again, it would be cocktails and an appetizer."

  • "Maybe it was a bad night, but at $100+ per guest bad night aren't forgiven. I had the Kobe NY Strip, other guests had the Kobe Tenderloin and the King Salmon. Food came right around the hour mark after we ordered. My medium-rare steak was served at a full medium well. The only reason I didn't send it back was the rest of my guests were quite hungry, and they would have waited for my steak to be re-prepared. They didn't need to wait longer nor have cold food. Our server was cheerful and friendly, but decided the best way to deal with our food taking so long was to ignore us. The viewpoint over Seattle is great - we got the full 360 a little over three times. My advice if you want fine dining is eat someplace and then up for the view"

  • "This place was excellent. The food was outstanding. The service was very good. However, it's very expensive. This restaurant is extremely good for special occasions and special events. The view was the best I've seen in my 54 year old life. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and we told them this before we arrived and they remembered. When we arrived the lady at the door, after I gave her my name said "happy anniversary.""

  • "It's something which certainly any first time visitor must take in. If you have done any research at all, you know that it's going to be expensive, as would be expected, but I ordered a Kobe beef tenderloin medium rare that was excellent and done just right and my wife had the Pacific halibut which she also enjoyed."

  • "Our brunch was amazing, the service was great our server was Austin, and he did an outstanding job with his customer service skills. He needs a raise! Make reservations now, we will totally be going again."

  • "Wonderful attention by primary waiter. Needed to remind the "bread" person to bring more scones, our basket had 2 pieces of bread and there were 4 of us at the table. Beautiful day and spectacular view, enjoyable time with 3 teenagers!"

  • "Food was amazing but the service was a little slow."

  • "Brunch at the Space Needle! Great views and superb food. Highly recommend it. Promptly seated with a reservation -- and the restaurant bypasses the typically long tourist line for the elevator to the top!"

  • "My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday on a Sunday for brunch. They had a birthday card for him and made us feel very special. The food was amazing and sooo filling! Recommend the biscuits and gravy, it was amazing!"

  • "My husband, son and I had a wonderful time. Our server was outstanding and took care of us from the moment we sat down. Our food was excellent. My nine year old son especially loved the lunar orbiter dessert. What a presentation! The views were amazing. What a wonderful experience! Well worth it!"

  • "As expected, the view is amazing. That being said the food is pretty awful. I'm ok with paying high prices for food, but for what you get, this is terribly overpriced. For appetizers we got marrow, which I normally love but here is was just really greasy and gamey (it was paired with cow tongue which was disgusting/worst I've ever had), and the burrata which was just ok. For dinner I ordered a rare ahi steak ($39) and my hubby ordered a rare NY strip steak ($64). Ahi was over cooked and cold (presumably sitting out) and the beef steak was very well overcooked. We didn't finish most of our dinner. Moreover, for the price you'd expect good service, which you just don't get (had to wait a full course for a glass of wine)."

  • "We dined on a perfectly sunny clear day. Views were amazing, epically with the rotating restaurant. The service and bar selection was very good. The selection of options way better then I was prepared for and the food was excellent and far better then I was expecting. Its not cheap but considering the world class view and top notch dining experience, I will look forward to going back again the next time im in Seattle."

  • "The service was pretty bad & I'm not one to complain. The food we finally got (after at least 45-50 min) which was barely the side of warm. Disgusting meal which my wife & I paid, way, way to much, (not to try to remember it was our anniversary). Like I said I hope someone at the Space Needle read all of this & please don't be to hard on my views, I sure there are lot of good people working there, it's just none of them thank god are not in charge of the kitchen. It's pretty sad in my opinion, that a place like a supposed to be a great place to spend precious time with out loved ones one very important occasion. I was asked on this Space Needle, questionnaire, what I thought on my wife & my self's visit to a very overpriced carnival ride."

  • "Cost could be prohibitive to many folks. We "splurged" because we were from out of town and figured we won't be back to Seattle anytime soon. But the cost was definitely not what we would ordinarily pay for a vacation lunch or dinner. The tables are close together and there was a family group (six adults and two small children) behind us celebrating a child's 1st birthday. At times, the adults were quite loud. Another group of 8 people sat three tables over and they were also loud at times. I compared this experience to dinner I had several years back at the rotating restaurant up in Niagara Falls ... Scenic view, good food, excellent service, etc. but the cost was definitely less at the restaurant in Niagara Falls, Canada."

  • "We were on our first visit to Seattle, and decided to have brunch on the tower. The food was good, a little expensive, was 45 dollars but we enjoyed the experience. The service was good and friendly and the view on that clear morning was spectacular"

  • "Beautiful location, excellent service-but the food was not quite worth what was charged. I had a Kobe tenderloin, while my boyfriend had the lamb. We have both had some "wow!" meals in the same price range, but couldn't quite get there with these plates. The accompaniments were overcooked, and the proteins were underwhelming. Definitely a place that should be on your bucket list, as the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the view was incredible. Just know that you are paying for the ambience rather than a spectacular meal."

  • "Took my 13 year old granddaughter to dine here for special weekend adventure.. Was NOT disappointed! Great views, wonderful service, friendly staff and best of all we were able to dine gluten free and rest assured that the chef and staff understood our specific needs. Food was great and no one would ever guess it was gluten free. Thanks for a great experience!"

  • "Meal was fantastic as was the view. Just amazing. Good food but going around sunset was the top."

  • "We took the kids as part of our holiday plans. A fabulous evening. Only issue was timing - our food arrived AN HOUR after we ordered, so the kids were chewing the tablecloth by the time it arrived. That aside, everything else was great."

  • "Skip the wait for the Space Needle Observation Deck and enjoy a two hour lunch instead!!"

  • "The hazelnut chicken sandwich and jidoori chicken were absolutely amazing!!! The food was FAR beyond my expectations and Amy was a friendly and very helpful server. We brought a friend from France and it was truly a special experience!"

  • "One of the better "tourist" dining spots anywhere. View is fantastic, service was excellent, food was also excellent. We had the Kobe filet mignon and the King salmon. Both cooked as close to perfection as possible. An enjoyable experience. Minor annoyance was the table lamp. While great for reading it is not adjustable and too bright. Be prepared to spend $100 or more per person with wine, tip, etc."

  • "The food was way over priced but that was to be expected. This is a special occasion restaurant with a great ambiance and good food. The service was also spot on, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The only down part was you have to empty out your wallet to eat here."

  • "This was an item on our bucket list after having lived there 14 years ago but not having the opportunity of experiencing it at that time. We were finally able to enjoy during our recent visit. The staff was excellent and didn't mind answering questions about local attractions and views. Our party included 2 couples (ourselves and our in-laws) with the need for extra time in navigating to our table and the staff was very accommodating. We DEFINITELY recommend putting this on your list of must-sees while visiting Seattle."

  • "An excellent place to dine yet inexpensive. You are treated very nicely and warmly. We came as a family of four from Calgary not knowing what to expect in such a crowded city of Seattle but to our awe, we had a special exclusive treatment with just a little to spend for a top class dinning experience. Just be smart enough to book your spot online before arrival-That was awesome!"

  • "This restaurant and the experience of the Space Needle did not disappoint, and in fact, is one of my son's favorite memories of our Seattle trip, as was one of mine when I was his age. And now it's one of my favorite memories as an adult. I don't usually take pictures of my food, but our steamers and my crab and shrimp Louie salad were so artistically presented, that I did. The only things better to top off the meal besides the view was the huckleberry topping on our dessert. The price of the meal includes admission to the observation deck and free photos of your party, so it's really worth it!"

  • "No doubt this is the best restaurant in the city with the best view. Fortunately we went on a clear day and we had spectacular views of all of Seattle as well as Mt. Rainier. The food, although quite expensive, was actually pretty good. I would highly recommend this place for special occasions and romantic dinners."
