He was greeted with crayons and a kid's menu. Service team was friendly, accomodating, and, service was seamless and timely so our visit went smoothly. Good selection on kids menu, $15 for most items. Brunch for adults was $45 and included starter, main course, and dessert as well as juice and a bread basket. Delicious, especially my prime rib! Notes, coins from different countries, and other treasures graced the window rail, and looking to see what would turn up next as our table revolved around the restaurant really captivated our son. Diners are free to visit observation deck. Stationary binoculars are there. Still a great place to eat.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful dining experienceIf you are visiting Seattle, or even if you live there and haven't made it up to the Space Needle, eating at SkyCity is well worth the price. Since you are going to have to pay 20 bucks to get up to the observation deck anyway, why not just go have dinner instead? The prices may be higher than most are used to, but when you factor in the cost of just visiting the observation deck, you really aren't paying that much more for delicious food in a fantastic landmark location. I enjoyed the special they had that day, seafood paella. It was very tasty. When we were seated the first waitress was not so impressive, She went to 3 other tables twice before she ever did anything with us. Yeah we waited quite a bit.... The manager came over and it went from there we received another waitress which was great, she helped make the night, along with the manager. Food was not that great, but still good, we ordered salmon and prime rib for main course. The prime rib came as a big portion, we didn't finish it, but when we ask to take the rest to go, the waiter didn't put the sauce together with it even we asked for a new sauce.

We have lived in Seattle now for almost 3 years and had never gone to the restaurant or observation deck at the Space Needle; so we decided it was time. The check-in process was easy, the view was great (especially on a clear evening) and the staff was wonderfully helpful and courteous. SkyCity is definitely a special occasion restaurant, but did not have a "stuffy" feel to it.
The food was amazing and the wine list was great with a nice selection of local, domestic and international choices. I definitely recommend SkyCity to Seattle visitors and locals alike!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing view, great food....Amazing view! We saw all of Seattle from our dinner table. There was a photographer that took our picture, and it was free to email the picture to our email address or facebook account.
I had the 12oz NY Strip, it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The grilled tomato with feta cheese was a perfect side, but the fries were not that great. The waiter was very informative of the Seattle area, and the restaurant very appropriately serves Starbucks coffee.
Definitely a must do if you are in the Seattle area! The view from the top on a clear day is absolutely awesome. The menu and wine list were quite acceptable and we enjoyed our food and service as much as the beautiful view. However, with only one elevator, waiting to go back down requires a somewhat lengthy wait at times. Overall, a nice experience. They called us ahead and arranged for a balloon decoration and sparkling cider for a 13th birthday. The only negative was that the kid menu was really for kids in elementary school. There was not a menu selection that was appropriate for an older kid. The steak for him was great, but we had to have the wine sauce removed as it was not something that tasted good to a kid. For adults, the food was spectacular. Especially loved the sweet potato and crab cake starters. We would go there again for a celebration. When handed the menu we thought we had the wrong one, it was mainly breakfast items. I would of expected at 2:15 on a weekend we would of seen more salads and sandwiches even burgers... We did settle for the one chicken main dish. It's three courses, first course we had a Caesar salad, we took off the anchovy. Salad was good, crisp and tasty, chicken was good, not dry. And cheesecake was great. Service stared out good but increasingly got slow as food arrived I had to ask for tea refills twice.and asked for no anchovy on salad but it was on there he rarely came by-.
