Ski Tip Lodgememorable, delightful diningThe Ski Tip Lodge was a delectable dining experience. The food was an excellent, creatively-paired four-course meal. We will remember the 1940's lodge and the beautiful scenery, as well as the delicious food. We relaxed by the fireplace and toured the lodge and grounds after dinner. The grounds include a pond, trees and flowers. Our waitress, Christina, gave us many good recommendations for the area, in addition to providing great service.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy Favorite Restaurant AnywhereAlways an outstanding dining experience. My wife and I are wanna be foodies, and enjoy trying new flavors and combinations. The warm rustic dining room, that was quiet and romantic. We choose the wine pairing menu, which was delightful. The knowledge of the wines was brilliant! The menu was varied with robust flavors. They had some unique items, such as venison, which was well prepared. The separate sitting room to enjoy coffee and desert in front of the fire is a great touch. Great way to end the evening.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAn exceptional dining experience. An exceptional dining experience. The setting is great and having dessert in a different room was a treat. Wine paring selections were entertaining and mostly well matched to the food.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensive but worth it!This is our second visit to the Ski Tip. It is expensive, but worth every penny. The food is very creative, yet satisfying. We would highly recommend the wine pairing. On both of our visits, Megan was our wine expert. She is highly knowledgeable and provided interesting facts about the wine selections and the reasons she chose them to accompany the various courses. We can't say enough about this restaurant.3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the atmosphere, andWe loved the atmosphere, and the staff were wonderful. We all loved the first 3 courses, breads, game soup, and pike were absolutely amazing, but the main entree and desserts were bland and just not up to par. Elk entree was lacking flavor, duck breast was tough and salmon was good but overly rich. Desserts were disappointing.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAlpine Country Gem.Excellent food quality, surpassed only by the ambiance. Former stagecoach stop; still operating as a country inn. Cocktails and dessert can be served in living room, around the fireplace and views of the mountains. Staff and service were exceptional. Highly recommended.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
