Got a night out without the kids
and celebrated a late valentine dinner. Chose Six Tables. It was all that we had hoped. We certainly will go back. The food was great. Gave 4 stars simply because my entre, I would have liked a little larger portion. However, my wife's filet was incredible. Cut like butter. The ambiance was romantic. But it is small, and we couldn't help but hear conversation from the other table that night. A woman and her significant other meeting with her father and step mother and sharing the news that she is having a baby in a month and all the details of pregnancy. My wife and I laughed over it and took it in stride. After dinner, the chef came out and apologized, but nothing that was in his control."

Six Tables is not a cheap meal,
but it is certainly a unique experience, and the food is singularly amazing. Would recommend for a special occasion, or an out-of-town foodie looking for unique dining experiences."

We went for Pre-Valentine dinner
on Wednesday 2/12 and as it turns out we had entire place to ourselves with the chef undivided attention. Something you only see in movies or have a ton of cash to afford. It was peaceful and relaxing. It's definitely not a chain and something I'd say try for special occasion. Food was unique and good. Service wonderful."

The name of the restaurant
describes it very well with only six tables in the building. The chef is present to discuss and present the dishes which are unique and fun. The food is very good and the wine flows freely, but be prepared to pay for the experience. We had a great time."

This is our second time visiting
Six Tables and it is consistantly fabulous!!! I love the interaction between the Chef and the diners - he explains what he is serving in detail. If you haven't been, it's a MUST!!! We already have reservations for Valentine's Day!!!! Very special experience!!!"

We had a fabulous evening! We
unexpectedly were treated to a solo experience with the chef! There were four of us for dinner and we had the dining room to ourselves. The evening began with champagne and each course was accompanied with a delicious glass of wine pared to perfection with the food. The chef came out and we visited with him about the restaurant concept and history. He was charming and shared some of his wonderful insights about the food selections. We ordered a variely of entrees… from snapper, duck, steak and pork. Each of these entrees were delicious. Everything course from the salad & soup … all the way to the final dessert … start to finish was prepared to perfection. A very special evening, indeed. THANK YOU!"

It was great to finally dine at 6
Tables! We did not know what really to expect, however, it was quite wonderful. Chef met us on our arrival and discussed the evenings flow briefly. Shortly thereafter he poured Champagne. From that moment we experienced a continual succession of perfectly timed, perfectly proportioned, perfectly complementary courses. From the delectable homemade bread that accompanied the soups and salad, to the "crazy good" Red Snapper, to the cheese plate and sugar-free desert- each offering was superb! Chef was the consummate host, attentive, thoughtful and yet, never intrusive- bravo! A GREAT DATE NIGHT EXPERIENCE! We will be back! 6 Tables would also be the perfect venue for a private party of 2-30! SUPERB!"

I have gotten to the point in life
where excellent food is what makes me happy. When I travel I spend hours researching where we eat. This Chef owned restaurant, met all of our needs. What a gem. The Chef comes out and introduces the menu selections, that he prepared for the evening. They start everyone off with champagne, my favorite and everything gets better and better. The appetizer was wonderful and special. Both my husband and I enjoyed our entrees and we asked the Chef to pair our wines and everything was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

Ever since I moved to Portland in
2003 and I've had on my list to eat at Six Tables. It took me 10 years, but for my 50th birthday it all worked out. Quiet evening, good meal, attentive staff and interaction with the chef. I was amazed of the number of choices available for the entree, since this was a chef's table I was expecting it all to be a surprise when it arrive."

First time visit and totally
different . Richard is the ultimate host with a varied menu and creative seasonal influences. The homemade lavender bread with honey butter - this was good enough to go back for this alone. Wine list was short but the Cabernet was fabulous. Good value for money - for the combined dinner and service. Definitely a return visit this year."

We made our reservation at Six
Tables to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was a Sunday night, and we were the only diners! Chef Richard greeted us immediately and made us feel most welcome. We had champagne in our hands within 2 minutes. Chef Richard took care of everything - hosting, cooking and serving (and told us he would have acted as valet, too, if we needed it.) The food was fresh, creative and delicious. It's hard to describe because the taste combinations were unique (a radish galette with watermelon relish?) We had our choice of soups, mains and desserts along with an appetizer, bread, and cheese course. Everything was wonderful. We ordered a flight of wines to accompany the meal. And Chef Richard was charming."

We had a great meal and a great
time. I've got to tell you, I've never cared for pate, but when I had yours, I wanted seconds. Thanks for all you do! We've been to your place twice and were wowed each time. Great food, great staff--what more could we want? We have a couple who visits us regularly from out of town who enjoy the many dining options Tampa has to offer. Next time they're in town, we're coming to Six Tables."

I loved my night at six tables.
The food was fantastic. I am from NYC and would love to have this restaurant in my neighborhood. Each course was perfect and the service was phenomenal. I had the pork tenderloin and the chocolate ganache. I also had the crab bisque. Champagne started to evening and I had a three course wine flight. this chef truly works on technique and truly wonderful ingredients and preparation. I could smell the lavender bread when I walked in the door! The decor is reminiscent of a wedding reception outdoors - simple - and I felt like all the focus was on the food here. The evening was a highlight of my trip to tampa."

I read a lot of reviews saying the
place is overpriced. Well I disagree. If you have dined in any big city (NYC, DC, Chicago, LA) you would realize what a deal this was! Food was top notch, staff was extremely attentive, just a wonderful evening! The site itself could use a little update decor wise, but still a great ambiance. If you are just looking for an "Outback" steak, this place is not for you... Refined palettes need only apply!"

we went there to celebrate a
birthday. it was an unusually quiet nite there(according to them) . there were only 6 people there, including us. it is a great concept, you get very personalized service. the food was very good, the service was outstanding, the price was a bit high, but for that kind of personalized touch, i would pay it again. they had a nice menu that evening. the food was well prepared. some things were not to our taste, but good never the less. you will not leave hungry, that is for sure. it is a little hard to find, but something worth hunting up, at least once. a great special occasion place for sure."

We went to six tables on a week
night and were the only couple there. Chef Richard served us a wonderful meal with great champagne and wine. Food was perdextly cooked with excellent combinations. You won't leave hungry! We will definitely be back."

Six Tables was a perfect place for
my husband and I to celebrate my birthday. ST lives up to its name -- just six tables available by reservation only. The room is homey and elegant, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. . It was a Monday night and we were the only people in the restaurant, so we felt really special by the personal attention we received from the chef who prepared and served the many courses. The food was wonderful, better than we expected from previous reviews we had read. It was also plentiful, so much so, that my husband and I had to take some of the food home, providing a special treat later. I would definitely recommend ST for special occasions or for foodies wanting an interesting meal."

Food, service, and atmosphere were
all great. You get choices of soup, entree, and dessert. The other three courses are set by the chef ahead of time. The only minor fault we found was a the lack of any beer on the menu as well as a small entree size."
