Diner Reviews
  • "This restaurant is inside the Edgewater Hotel, which sit right on the waterfront of Elliott Bay in Seattle. Dinner reservations were easy to make, and the restaurant was nicely lit for cozy but comfortable dinner. Nice dinner ambience, the use of backlit menus and subtle lighting made it so much easier to see the menus. Portions are well designed, especially if a full dinner (app, salad, entrée and dessert) are eaten. The menu is pricey, but the Butter poached lobster, with lobster polenta was excellent with chucks of lobster in the polenta. Diver scallop were a bit salty, but could be due to the freshness. Service was slow, so be prepared to take a leisure stroll thru dinner. Overall a very nice evening and fantastic views of the bay."

  • "A really fantastic experience in a part of town laden with generic, tourist-quality, restaurants. The food is pricey but really well prepared, the view of the bay is spot on, and our server was a delight."

  • "I found this hotel on Food and Wine Magazine and absolutely fell in love with it and had to check it out when I was visiting family in Seattle. It was truly difficult walking away from the scenic view. I hope I can come back again to stay rather than simply visit for a meal."

  • "Got a great deal on the hotel..decided to go to the restaurant and it is fantastic. Had the best pork chop ever. The entire restaurant has a view of Puget Sound. Great server excellent overall."

  • "Entertaining a client for lunch. Very convenient valet. Perfect view, service and food. Bento box is the way to go. Perfect small portions from their whole lunch nenu. Impressive."

  • "Beautiful restaurant on Puget Sound and it's very special if you get a seat next to the window. Food was tasty and portions were well sized. A great location for a special occasion. There is a strange process at the door in that they do not seat you without server acknowledgement so if the server is busy, you may be waiting a while at the hostess table until the server is ready - seemed strange to me and we waited more than five minutes to be seated at a table that was ready and all set..."

  • "Great for breakfast and lunch. Dinner can get pricey, quickly. Service is always top notch. Convenient valet parking and one of Seattle's best water views."

  • "We sat by the water front window on leather and pillowed divan's. We relaxed back into our seats watching the ferries come and go and the sea gulls play. Our server checked on us several times while we discussed our menu options.,"Should we try the Lobster hash or the crab eggs benedict?" So many choices...I decided on the Crab cake with arugula and He had the crab benedict. Our food was presented with artistic flare. Our server attentive, but not annoying, never interrupting our conversation. We felt like the only guests there. (The restaurant was very busy). Our Champagne delightful. We mentioned how the experience resembled a kings feast as we pressed our backs into the pillows with a comforting sigh."

  • "We went to 6 7 for my birthday on a recommendation from a freind. Its literally right on the water (like being on a boat ). There was a beautiful Spring sunset! The service was efficient & professional, warm & friendly. The food was Amazing We had the kubota Pork Rack, chicken breast, Lobster mac & Cheese, Sauteed Spinach side dish, Crab cake appetizer, Ceasar salad. Everything was flavorful , generous servings, with lovely presentation. For dessert we had cheesecake & an apple tartlet sooooooooooooooo yummy! My husband said it was the best dessert he ever had. We had left overs to take home & the food was even better the next day! I cant wait to go back & try Brunch or happy hour on the sea side patio!"

  • "Beautiful view, contemporary & elegant interior, delicious food, and good service made Six Seven a great find on our recent visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Be prepared to spend a little more, but it was worth it for us."

  • "They couldn't seat us until 14 mins after the reservation, then the food took an hour. When it arrived, the eggs were cold. We had been there too long to send it back. The Edgewater is usually an excellent experience. The service was outstanding with multiple apologies and they did not charge us."

  • "I booked a 9:30PM reservation on Open Table for Friday night. We walked in at 9:34pm in which we were greeted by the hostess 1 minute later. I said we have a 9:30 reservation but were considering sitting in the lounge if space (had band playing so was packed). She said they don't seat after 9:30 so we'd have to find bar seats. I said you're kidding, right? We arrived 4 minutes late. With a very large smile the hostess says Nope, we shut down at 9:30 but your happy to see if there is standing area in the bar. So..went to El Gaucho and had fantastic dinner. Would have been my first time at Six Seven but not only did they miss out on the $400 I spent at El Gaucho they will also never see me again! I've NEVER had that poor of service!"

  • "For the past 15 years we have dined at our favorite restaurant in the Seattle area. With a recent bad experience, we decided to change things up this year and go the Six Seven @ The Edgewater Hotel. We have the fortune of having Laura as our server and she was absolutely fantastic. Great sense of humor; good recommendations and just added to a great dinner. The food was so very good - filet mignon and pot roast ...delicious. The "Abigail" cocktail was wonderful. Then there is the view ..absolutely gorgeous view of Puget Sound and the setting sun. We also had breakfast there the next morning ...the granola/yogurt and fresh fruit is yummy."

  • "Nothing can beat Six Seven's location, with Eliot Bay and the visual of lighted ferries plying the harbor just outside the floor to ceiling windows. But the food and service are top notch too, and the vibrant bar scene makes a lively background for those seated in the dining room. Great bread, for those who still eat carbs. Decent wine list. Lobster mac and cheese to die for. Perfectly prepared fish. Pretty close to a 10."

  • "Anyway, the restaurant is very dark and menus are backlit which always makes a good impression. Might be good for date nice, especially if you are having a bad complexion or hair day. The room has a great view of the sound. I ordered the fois gras appetizer which is one of my favorites. The serving also was a bit small for a $20 appetizer. The mussels were very good, they came in a red cream sauce that had just a little heat at the end. I ordered the cedar plank salmon. The salmon was a bit overcooked and it came with a honey glaze that overpowered the truffles and the salmon. I should have tried the triple mousse dessert. I think that I may have had it the first time when I visited. See tripadvisor for full review."

  • "Having requested a quiet corner, we were put under a speaker and in line with the foot traffic. (I understand that not all requests cannot be accommodated.) But, I was told that there was no such request on the booking. When I pointed to a quieter table I was told that it was reserved and could not be given. During the more than two and a half hours that we were dining and spending, no one was seated at the table that I had requested. Was it that the "desk lady" did not want to add an extra table to one waiter and wanted to favor another? We'll never know, from now on we will eat at home."

  • "Excessive wait times, on multiple occasions we were not brought silverware with our meal/dessert."

  • "We were seated within seconds of arriving, into a cozy little 50's-chic booth. Once we put in our order, it took a good 20+ minutes to arrive and probably more than one frustrated look exchanged between myself and the server, to get our orders. But the food that did arrive was quite delicious; simple, elegant, and surprisingly filling. The price range makes it a special occasion type adventure, but I'd highly recommend it for that purpose. We fully intend to try to dine there again during the summer months when outdoor dining is available. You just can't beat the view!"

  • "We celebrated Valentine's Day here during our visit to Seattle. While the view is very nice, the restaurant itself offers what I'd call 'standard fancy hotel food' which means its not that imaginative, fresh, or flavorful. And the price was astronomical for what was on the plate. Service was friendly but average. Not what you'd expect at this price in another major city. This restaurant seems able to rest on its laurels as a popular waterfront hotel restaurant."

  • "Romantic, yes. But definitely not quiet. The dining is right off of the bar. Which you see right as you enter the restaurant. We were there for Valentine's Day. They had a live artist there. Singing r&b...top 40s. Great voice btw. But for those looking for a quiet romantic dinner. Not the place. Lighting could be much better. Barely able to see food and menu. There was also this awkward chain design thing hanging from the lights onto the table. We didnt go there for the interior design tho. So aside from all that cosmetic negatives. Food and service was good."

  • "Every time I come to Six Seven, I am never disappointed. The menu is full of deliciously well presented dishes from the appetizers to the desserts. Having a table close to the windows to enjoy the view is a must but any table in the restaurant makes you feel at the perfect place. The members of the staff are incredible: smiling, of good advice, responsive and really efficient, we never had to wait for anything. Considering the quality of the service, the food and the place as a whole, it is obvious the prices are a little bit higher but it is definitely worth it!"

  • "If a restaurant offers reservations late in the evening, shouldn't the food and service be just as good as during prime time?Service was sparce, as the staff was more interested in doing side work than providing us with the level of service expected at a nice place like this. I don't ask for much, but I do expect my water to be filled at least once, and was disappointed that we couldn't order a cocktail because the bar was closing. It's pretty bad when I have to get up to go find someone to help me. Also, the food was way off the mark. We both ordered scallops, and they were so over seasoned that neither of us could eat them. We sent them back, and they came out again exactly the same way. I had much higher expectations here."

  • "Six Seven is a regular 'go to' spot for morning breakfast meetings. Food and service are consistently very good. Their Crab Benedict is perfectly done - every time. Everyone I bring here makes the same comment. 'This place is really good.'"

  • "We had brunch on Saturday just after noon, with reservations. They weren't needed as the place was pretty empty. Prices were reasonable. Their $25 brunch deal which includes mimosa/champagne, starter, main course and dessert is a great buy. The only starter which was savory was the oysters which they were out of, and it would have been nice to have more non-fruity choices for a pseudo lunch. Lobster hash was good if unusual and the kitchen was very accommodating and did my husband's poached eggs "well done". I had the turkey/chevre melt bento tray which was excellent. The French fries were done crispy, as I'd asked, and were perfect. The chowder was killer; rich with tons of flavor. Worth going back just for that!"

  • "Great meal with spectacular service. The valet was stellar. The lot was completely full and saw that we were on a date and found a place to put my car. The view was wonderful. Best romantic date restaurant in the city. They will have my business forever."

  • "Overall a really great restaurant. We had a small party of 6 and the restaurant met our accommodations well. Restaurant has a great view of the water--highly recommend going there a little before sunset. Our reservation was at 8:30 so didn't catch the sunset but seeing the ferry and boat lights was still romantic. Restaurant was a little noisy-the bar had something going on that night (or perhaps may be every Saturday night). Had the filet mignon and scallops. Both dishes were fantastic except the scallops were a little too salty for our taste. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back."

  • "My girlfriend and I had dinner and brunch at Six Seven during our visit to Seattle. The restaurant is water front. Food and wine were excellent and reasonably priced. Our waitresses were also very professional and friendly. We will certainly go back there again."

  • "We came to this restaurant for Restaurant Week in Seattle. We wanted to try a new place and I heard that the restaurant has one of the best views in the city. This is true and the food was so good! It is a great place for a date or a get together with friends. We loved it so much that we went back for happy hour recently. I highly recommend it."

  • "We happened to go to this restaurant towards the end of the Seattle Seahawks NFC Championship game. As luck would have it, the game had just ended and the place was extremely loud. We weren't too happy about this because we wanted to celebrate a quiet anniversary dinner, but we made the best of it. Our server was nice, but seemed very rushed at times. Our appetizers were probably our favorite out of our three course meal followed by the desserts. The main course was good. We both ordered half orders, which still ended up being very large. This restaurant has a great waterfront view and we plan on going back someday to watch the sunset. The only gripe I would really have is that the music was way too loud to enjoy a romantic quiet evening."

  • "4 of us dined at Six Seven and everyone was more than satisfied with the food quality and service. The steak I had was better than that served at Seattle's Met Grill. BLT Salad was tops."

  • "We found the background music (mostly bass drum beats) to be loud and aggravating and could not hear (if there was any) melody or words to the music. The (half-order) salmon entree was good, but the portion was extremely small for the price. The arugula salad was a generous portion and very good. The dessert (cheesecake) was good and added a final touch to a decent meal. The selection for glasses of wine from the wine list was somewhat disappointing."

  • "We had our Thanksgiving dinner here, and everything about our night was perfect and memorable! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the ambience was like no other restaurant in town! I would highly recommend the Six Seven to everyone, whether you're a guest at the Edgewater or not. Go during the day for the breathtaking view, and return at night for an intimate candle-lit dinner or drinks at the bar!"
