  • "I have dined at Six One Six several times and am never disappointed. The menu is creative yet approachable. Most often my experiences are of a business nature, but this latest was with our teenage children. We all found items on the menu that we liked. So much so that we shared bites with each other. In other words, all four plates had wonderful food and we wanted to share. I would recommend to business people and families with teenagers. The wine list is sufficiently extensive to find a nice selection across varied price points."

  • "I had not eaten at this restaurant for dinner; Met a friend for a business dinner and the food was unique and very good. I had the pork belly appetizer which is so tender it litterally evaporates in your mouth; then the pheasant breast which had great flavor and tender inside and crispy outside. Wine list was excellent and the Service was excellent while not intrusive - Just right!"

  • "Six One Six NEVER disappoints for the Food - we were there again for the breakfast and enjoyed the tasteful and gourmet style breakfast spread - salmon, gourmet omelettes, waffles made to order, frittata, delicious pastries, lots of fresh berries and fruit. Waitress was a gem - she inquired about the gifts we had brought and when she found out we were celebrating our daughter's high school graduation, she brought a very special dessert with "Congratulations" written in chocolate on the plate!! She arranged for a tour of the concierge level when she found out that our mother-in-law had never been there - excellent! For future, would request a seat with a view (as we sat in the back area for the first time) and the violin was too loud. "

  • "We made reservations for five for Mother's Day Brunch at Six One Six. Maybe we had unrealistic expectations, thinking this brunch would be similar to Charley's Crab and others we have been to, but we were mistaken. When we arrived, there were not many people in the restaurant, but they still sat us outside the restaurant, in the Mixology Bar area. Right away, we felt like we were outcasts. Essentially, we were sitting in the lobby of the hotel. The selection of food to choose from seemed more like a continental breakfast, instead of a Mother's Day Brunch buffet. I would not recommend Six One Six for brunch."

  • "We ended up here because we couldn't get into Ruth's Chris for dinner as there were no open reservations for that evening. We were staying at the JW Marriott for the weekend so this restaurant was conveniently located. Overall the dinner was fine albeit somewhat overpriced for the experience. We had eaten at Ruth's Chris for our anniversary the previous year when we stayed at the Amway so this is what I'm basing my comparison on. For our soup we had the seafood chowder which was excellent. We both ordered the filet for dinner. Our steak was cooked to perfection but was not aged as long as I would have expected for such a high end dining experience. I love that this restaurant used all locally procured foods for their menu. "

The service, the ambiance, the timing between courses, the attention paid to us and not to be forgotten... the FOOD!!! The flavors were fresh, light and layered perfectly! The NY Strip steak was incredible as was the "lovely soup" of the day, a Parmesan broth with white beans and pancetta, to die for! Another favorite was the shiitake risotto, so delicious! The experience was fantastic and made a wonderful impression on my guests! "

  • "Once again the Six One Six has demonstrated to us what good food and great service is all about. We brought my Brother and his daughter here for Sunday Brunch. The service was what fantastic. They were there when they were needed and stayed in the back ground the rest of the time. They were polite and always accommodating. The food was top notch pulling from local farms and suppliers. Great bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruits, cheeses and many other top of the line fair. Best of all are the omlets prepared by Elvis. I Love The Six One Six."

Johnathan gave a thoughtful summary of the menu highlights and his recommendation of the sushi tempura and cheese board were a wonderful start to our meal. Alex the Maitre d' made a point to check on our experience and introduce himself - very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Duck or Cheesecake - if those wont win you over the live jazz band will!"

  • "I was underwhelmed by Six One Six because of poor service. It took an unacceptably long time to be greated by our waitress and even longer to get water and drinks. My steak was delivered without a steak knife or fork. I asked the runner for it and watched him notify our waitress and then chit-chat with the chef. I litterally stared at my steak for 3 minutes without cutlery. I was just getting up to get it myself when the waitress appeared. It was the same story with dessert - cheesecake showed up without any silverware and we had to ask for it. In spite of the service, the food was awesome and I had one of the best steaks of my life. In the end, when you pay $150 for a dinner for two, you expect better service."

  • "I have eaten at 616 prior to this and was very pleased with that experience. This experience was lacking in service making this a disappointing evening. When we arrived we were directed to the back of the restaurant and upon asking if we could sit in the front the hostess told us they were very busy that night. However, there were still a few open tables in the front for two people and none had reserved signs. Our server either had too many tables or was just not good. We asked her to light the candle three times (never done), we asked for bread twice, wine service took far too long. I expect better service for a restaurant of this caliber."

  • "My wife and I decided to go here for a light meal before seeing a broadway show downtown. We got a mix of shareable plates including an assorted cheeseboard, a sushi roll, and a flatbread pizza. All of the food was good. Nothing special, but fine. Ambience fell way short for the caliber of restaurant they portray themseleves as. We were at a two person table within 18 inches of another couple. There were 12 people in a group directly behind us conducting a baby shower! Very loud and a bit distracting. On the other side of us was a couple with a kid. The kid was fine. We just had expected a quiet, private place. I joked to my wife of 12 yrs, "Imagine if I had planned to make this a romantic night where I proposed or something." Disaster!"

So although we had a good experience overall, we left feeling like we could have had better value elsewhere, and that coming back to 616 wouldn't our first choice in the future. The environment was very good, and it was quite nice to be near the river for our dining experience. The service was great also."

  • "This place continues to improve, each time we go. We were attending before a concert, and let our server know that. He did a terrific job pacing the meal, even allowing time for dessert. The menu selections include local products, and there is plenty of variety. One member of our party said that the NY strip was the "best steak I have had in a long, long time," cooked perfectly with a great crust. The kale salad was very refreshing. Each entree has a different set of sides, which makes ordering really fun. Arctic char was excellent. The ambience is very pleasant."

  • "The restaurant is rather small and at first seem a bit louder than what we had hoped for but once seated it was not too bad. The down side is while this hotel and restaurant is on the river there are no good views. The service is beyond compare from the minute you walk in you have the staff's attention. Our waiter was a delight, he knew the menu, had great recommendations, and attended our every need. The entire meal was a foodie delight. They have a very eclectic menu that has pairings that seem unusual but taste phenomenal. Presentation was beautiful. This would have been perfect if the restaurant was more separate from Mixology and there were either better views from the windows or hide them and accent some great art and lighting."
