Sirocco - Renaissance Resort & Spathis restaurant was very quietthis restaurant was very quiet the night we ate there and am totally surprised, the food was excellent with lots of little extras. A chef's muse of a wonderful pasta, sorbet to clear the pallet between the risotto and the main course, lemencello with desert and a gift of biscotti with leaving. The service was excellent the atmosphere wonderful, only thing better could be some outside seating. We went to morton's the night before and this is every bit as good and Morton's was wonderful. would defiantly return, sorry to see them so slow, the food was wonderful. would recommend this restaurant !!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpected!!This place was fantastic. We were there on a Sunday night in May, so the place was not crowded at all. A light crowd is something that has always concerned us, but once the food came, we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered their "Taste of Tuscany" 4 course dinner, and every course was a culinary experience worth remembering. The spinach dumplings were the best I've ever had, the lobster ravioli was excellent, and my wife's filet, was prepared to mouth watering perfection. Our waiter was excellent, friendly and warm, seeing to our every need. Excellent meal... This place is tucked away inside the Renaissance Resort. Its worth finding, and enjoying!! My husband had the lamb that was great--nice grilled flavor, perfectly cooked to his request. I had lobster ravioli that was so rich and creamy with lots of lobster in the homemade pasta raviolis. They decanted our wine without asking and served an amuse course and a palate cleanser after the first course. And don't miss the tiramisu--perfect! And to top it off, as we left they handed us some homemade almond biscotti that went perfectly with our capuccinos in the morning. Take your credit card, however, all this luxury does come at a price but it was worth it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis had been one of our favoriteThis had been one of our favorite spots for several years. Chef Livio's retirement a few years ago and the currently uninspired food is why I am downgrading this beautiful spot. The lobster bisque was excellent, but the salads and the pasta dishes were mostly bland. The service is top notch and the wine list is quite impressive. I don't think there is good value here with just mediocre pasta dishes priced over $30. Other main courses also appeared to be over-priced. It is clear to me that Tiramisu in Palm Desert remains the best Italian restaurant in the Coachella valley.12/29/2012 12:00:00 AM
