Short Version: Excellent food and service - better than expected. Longer Version: We made a last minute reservation for an impromptu birthday celebration with a friend and it was our first time at Sirio's. My companion's sea bass was excellent as was my swordfish. Had a side of pasta that was very tasty. Service was outstanding - attentive, friendly, but not overbearing. Yes we would go back - nice Italian place in Aria.

My husband and I were in Vegas last week and had dinner At Sirio at Ario Hotel. It was restaurant week in Las Vegas and they had a 3 course dinner for $44 which we both ordered. The Caesar salad did not have enough flavor and no anchovies were offered, the main course was a pasta with seafood, crab and lobster bits, not enough seafood in the pasta, the dessert and bread were the highlights. The dessert had 3 small items, cannoli's, bobolinos, and ice cream, just delicious. For interest behind a glass wall one could watch as the appetizers were prepared and the bread was brought fresh out of the oven and then sliced.

Food was a disappointment. The $ 25.00 special appetizer Burrata with Prosciutto wrapped grilled peaches was terrible. The peaches weren't ripe and they never grilled them. An very expensive disappointment ! The only good thing about our expensive dinner was our server Carlos, he was fantastic.

Went with my whole family of 8 to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and it was fantastic. Couple of excepts though. The scallops for your main dish are sharp as knife so be careful and the expresso is horrible. Vegas really can't make proper expresso I find.

I recently entertained a customer from Chile, who was in Vegas with his wife and two teenaged children. We had dinner at Sirio-Aria and sat in the bar area (a bit better lit which I felt was more casual than the darker dining room). While my Spanish is okay, I struggle sometimes - imagine my delight that BOTH of our waiters heard us speaking Spanish and addressed my customer and his family only in Spanish. It certainly made it much more comfortable for them, and the waiters spoke with me in English - the perfect combination! On top of it, the food was delicious. If anything, it was served a bit quickly but we didn't specify, so if you are looking for a quick dinner as well, this is the place.

Went for dinner before Zarkana, the staff was excellent. We asked for 2 entrees to share and they actually split the entrees and put them together so we each had a half portion of each meal. The food was amazing from the cabresse salad to the main course.

We had 6 different people come to our table for different functions and when it was time to get fresh ground pepper on our dinner no one was around. I don't like that concept, one competent waiter would be better. The food was under seasoned which is not cool for a Michelin restaurant.

This was our third visit to Sirio, first one was awesome so that's why we went back. Second visit just like the third and last visit. Poor service, waiter did not give us the specials that we partially overheard from another waiter at a different table, never received bread until we asked for it when we received our salads-then the waiter seemed put out. Finished dishes remained at our table for long periods. At one point, our waiter disappeared for a long while. Not any of our dishes stood out or were worth mentioning. Too many other choices in Vegas to settle for a restaurant that doesn't care about service or properly training the waiters working for them. Won't be back.

The food was quite good, elegant surroundings and comfortable furniture with competent service should have guaranteed a great dining experience. Unfortunately the loud music piped into the dining room and noise from the bar area made it difficult to appreciate the experience. What was the most disappointing aspect though was the stratospheric prices for ordinary wines.

We stayed at Aria for the first time and decided to try Sirio for italian. We go to a lot of 4 star resturants (3-4 dollar signs) in LA (home) - BOA, Fig & Olive Always accommodating. The WAITER was horrible! Didn't say hi. Just handed us the menus. We asked for milk for our toddler, he huffed, and said OK. Got us our drinks. We looked over the menu, and then asked if we could see about getting a small order for our toddler, and he huffed, and said $18 full price for her for side order of butter pasta. We said NO, and said for the check, he said he would talk to chef, and I said, no let me talk to manager. He said no, he will talk to chef. He accommodated with the pasta, but when I asked for the check, he brought a soda to charge extra.

On my last visit to Sirio, about a year ago, the food was good, but everything was over-salted for me. This time, everything was great, from pasta to entree. They had an osso bucco special, done perfectly, tender and served with risotto a la Milanese and fresh carrots. Sirio is back on my Vegas go-to list for sure.

We were excited to go to a restaurant in the hotel we were staying at. The food at best was mediocre. We even had to send back two meals that were not edible (scallops and swordfish). The veal picatta was ordered by a couple of us and it tasted fine, but for the price...not worth it. The only upside was the service.

Pros: Excellent, excellent pasta and preparation. Beautiful venue (you can sit and watch the food prep for your salads and appetizers). One of those "expensive but probably worth it" restaurants. Cons: Wine list is WAY overpriced. Only a few bottles under $100. But if you're interested in $5000 wines you won't find many other places, well, then, this is your place. Portions are very small. Excellent, but small. I don't understand this (you could double the size for maybe $2 in food cost), but don't go there if you're really hungry.

The wine prices did not fit relative to their meal prices. When you can get a meal for $24.00 you really do not want to spend $26 for a glass of wine. Only five red wines offered by the glass all of which where more than the meals. Asked for options, none offered. Take what is on the list or go without.

Had a wonderful dinner here on a Thursday night. Wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. The one service negative is more so how they show drink specials. Putting an iPad on the table felt a little clunky and unorthodox. The food was fantastic. Caesar Salads had the perfect amount of dressing and fresh grated black pepper added a little pop. Swordfish was a good size and was slightly bland on it's own but had its flavor really brought out by the sauce it was served with. Very tender. The fettuccini carbonara was perfect. Pasta was incredibly fresh, each bite melted in my mouth. Wish we still had room for dessert, but unfortunately we didn't.

I had the mushroom ravioli special which was so delicious. It comes with 5 huge pieces of ravioli stuffed with mushroom and other yumminess that I can't quite remember the exact ingredients. My boyfriend had the spaghetti with butter and wine sauce - he wasn't feeling well to begin with but said it was still delicious. My uncle had the porkroast and enjoyed it as well. For dessert we shared the bomboli - WOW it's doughy goodness with powdered sugar and comes with 3 dipping sauces. fig caramel, hazelnut chocolate and a lemon one. Very delicious. The waiter was very helpful in helping me find a wine to pair with my dish. If we are ever in Vegas again I will definitely have to go back.

Choosing a location for dinner with my CEO is never easy, particularly when it's out of town and with other CxOs. I was so happy I chose Sirio at the Aria when recently in Las Vegas. As we entered my CEO noted "nice place" which was a great start, and it got better. Service was excellent -- wonderful menu and wine list but no pretension, and the staff knew how to come forward when needed and fade into the background the rest of the time. Food and ambience was outstanding.

  • Surprise Charges on Bill

I am giving this restaurant a "1" rating for one reason: We were charged an extra $10 for an "entree sized" secondi. I understand that at many Italian restaurants, secondi / pasta servings are smaller than a typical entree. However, the waiter did not mention there would be an additional fee when I ordered the pasta as my entree. Then we received the bill, which had an additoinal $10 fee. The menu is misleading, and I believe the management should clear this up, as it's an easy fix -- just add an additional price next to the secondi item (e.g., "$21 / $31"). I never like to see surprises on my bill, and this is no exception.

The food was pretty good but not great and the service was really marginal across the board. Apathetic and inattentive wait staff. Have had better experiences at the adjacent two restaurants at Aria. There are too many very good Italian dining options on the strip to justify the lack of service here. Will go elsewhere for Italian next time in town.
