  • "very nice dinner and very nice service and good price"

  • "Service was excellent with very prompt and friendly staff. Restaurant was very clean and perfect views in the evening. Food was very good. Only issue on my visit was a very large, very loud party in the rear portion of the restaurant with what I'm guessing was a comidian with a microphone. Party was very distracting at times. "

  • "Amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience! Our waiter named David was very helpful on finding us the perfect wine to accompany our food. Beef Wellington is an experience on its own ! We specially enjoyed the complimentary cake with "happy anniversary" written on the plate with fudge. I remcomended this restaurant to a couple of my coworkers and family members. Truly the best restaurant I have ever been to. "

  • "Arrived 45 min prior to 6:30 res. Got sat right away. Was expecting to wait in bar. Restaurant had lot of empty tables. Asked to relocate 1st seating for a better view. Food and view was great. Would rate higher if we got a better table without having to ask. This was a special occasion...a 16th wedding anniversey celeb."

  • "Sir Winston's is one of those dying institutions of fine dining & service. And the reason why it's dying is because of the lost art of fine dining: the simple pull of a chair, full wine service such as decanting & pouring, how plates should be served from the left & removed to the right. Unfortunately, little small details such as this are now lost even at Sir Winston's. Now, the food is excellent & the service is still very attentive, but in a nostalgic Grande Dame such as the Queen Mary, you sorta wish it took you back in time & experienced something uniquely special. Although dining at Sir Winston's is a fine experience, it no longer is a very special one, but it still beats lots of other fine dining options in Long Beach."

  • "We enjoyed a lovely dinner and the beef wellington was a special treat."

  • "Was't exactly what I expected. I remembered reading that there would be a live pianist, but there wasn't. Even though I had made a reservation a week earlier, my husband & I were seated by a wall with no view of the harbor. When we were served coffee, the cream that came with it was spoiled :(. On the other hand, the waiters were very attentive and the rest of the meal was excellent. I would only return to this restaurant for a special occasion since it was very expensive."

  • "We had a delightful meal at Sir Winstons. The only regret was the table placement. We had a table for two slap up against a wall where there was no view. It would have been nice to see the lights of LA. We had booked quite a long way ahead. Maybe in future, a plan of the restaurant could be given to clients, so they can choose where they sit? We had been looking forward to this meal for months and the placement was a bit of a disappointment. The meal itself, however, was really delicious."

  • "While the soups were delicious, (my companions had the lobster bisque and I had the French onion) the Dover sole was mushy. Is it possible they were serving frozen fish? On the other hand one of my companions had the scallops and they were delicious. When you are paying over $200 for a meal, you expect everything to be good! i will probably give this place one more try."

  • "This is the very definition of a "nice restaurant." Beautiful view of the Long Beach harbor. Excellent food. I wouldn't recommend this place for children. It is pricey so maybe the place to go for a special occasion. I highly recommend the Chateaubriand. I cut mine with a butter knife. The French onion soup was tasty as well."

  • "I am a fairly demanding person when it comes to a dining experience, and every element including menu, preparation of the meal, staff and service, ambience and more are all equally important to me. I have never given 5 stars to anyone, but Sir Winston's aboard the Queen Mary just changed that. They are (without doubt) the best dining experience I have had in years. Our party of 6 ordered a wide variety of appetizers, and everyone ordered different soups, salads and entrees, and every one of theme were spectacular. I can assure you that I will be back frequently. I would recommend Sir Winston's as a dining spot for high level after business dining; for anniversaries; wedding dinners; or a place to go for a memorable romantic dinner."

  • "We were a group of 7 - 6 adults and one child age 7. Not a kid friendly resturant. Food was good, waiting staff was wonderful. Million dollar view. Nothing for a child to order, No milk or juice. Hard to get into resturant - steep stairs."

  • "A traditional menu of well prepared perfectly presented dishes aboard a maritime icon: The Sir Winston's staff ensure you'll want to return - if only for an hour or so - for a taste of the good life in the golden age of steamships."

  • "Amazing, outstanding, impeccable presentation of dishes. Delicious."

  • "Although Sir Winston's is very pricey, it was worth every penny. I have to say it was probably the best meal we have ever had. It was our wedding anniversary, and we were treated like royalty. From the Oyster's Rockefeller, to the Onion Soup Ceasar Salad and unbelievable New York and Porterhouse steak, we enjoyed every minute, although really had to pace ourselves, because the portions are very large, even though every thing is "ala carte". To top it off, Sir Winston's brought us the best cheesecake we've ever had, on a plate with "Happy Anniversary" written on it in chocolate and little hearts in strawberry sauce. THEN, we were also surprised with 2 huge chocolate dipped strawberries! Fantastic! A MUST if you are in the Long Beach area!"

  • "We really enjoyed our night at the restaurant. We took time ahead of dinner to explore the Queen Mary. The staff was very attentive and left us to set our own pace"

  • "We used to always love coming here. The food is still good; as is the restaurants service and ambiancee will not be going back again. The Queen Mary has become a mecca of drunken partiers. We no longer feel safe on board."

  • ". We rang the hotel restaurant booking service for a 7:30pm booking and were told that 5:30 or 9pm were only available so we went on line and booked through Open Table and got a 7:30 table! We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good, probably better than when the ship was built!"

  • "The food, service, ambience and setting were all excellent and made for a most enjoyable dining experience for our special visitors to Long Beach. Sir Winston's remains by far my favorite restaurant in Long Beach for special occasions."

  • "We had the perfect evening because we dined at this restaurant. From the courtesy phone call to the extra touch, made the dinner amazing! After all the food we had and a bottle of champagne and dessert, the final bill was lower than any 5 or even 4 star restaurant in Las Vegas where I live. We walked the ship afterwards and took in the view of the harbor for my wife's birthday. I will be back again!!!! THANK YOU!"

  • "Thank goodness we had a reservation otherwise we would have had to purchase a $15 dinner ticket just to board the boar. I was pleased that our reservation was kept and ready for when we arrived. I was also impressed that they even took into consideration my special request to be by window; and had two table options to chose from. The bread, butter, and rock salt was delicious. I ordered the bone-in New York Strip and was unimpressed. The steak wasn't bad, but the cut of steak had left some bone fragments in the steak, which made it awkward to try and eat. The view's not great at night so I would recommend having an earlier dinner. Overall, nice experience, but for $220 for 3 people....I'm not sure the food and ambiance were up to par."

  • "Great Ambience and the food was good. Hostess was great but the service a little slow, food not cooked to order and slightly pricey."

  • "Food and wine were very good. Wondered if the QM champagne was a tad sweet. Beef wellington crust was a little soggy but very tasty.. Excellent souffle. Good friendly service"

  • "My wife and I booked the Queen Mary for our recent So. Cal trip, and had our Sunday evening dinner at Sir Winston's, Having eaten here before we knew it would be special, and we were not disappointed. Tom, our Server, offered exemplary service, and the Chateaubriand was excellent. A truly nice evening."

  • "For the price, the food was poor. Eat at a better priced and better food restaurant like "Parker's Lights House". Then take a stroll around the Queen Marry. Good service..."

  • "We loved our special night at the restaurant. The staff made our evening very special. Even providing my son a special birthday cake of his own. Meals were beautiful. The ambience of being on such a beautiful old ship was wonderful. Will definitely return. A great place for conversation and beautiful food and view."

  • "Had dinner at Sir Winston's on the Queen Mary, March 2014. Ordered the duck for entree and it was excellent. The Queen Mary is one of the few places to serve Leinenkugel sunset wheat beer, which is one of my favourites. the service was attentive. however, there were 2 mistakes on the bill, both in our favour, which we had to point out to the waiter. if we had paid the original amount on the bill, the dinner would have been about USD$40 cheaper!!"

  • "The restaurant had some cancellations on that rainy night so it was rather quiet in there. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but felt like I was in a library. The food and drinks were fabulous. I would celebrate my anniversary again there!"

  • "Taken all together, our meal at Sir Winston's was greater than the sum of its whole. The food was very good, the service excellent until it got busy, the décor minimal, but everything came together to make this an outstanding dining experience. We look forward to our next visit."

  • "The food was great, the ambience superb and service help great. Unfortunately the waiter (senior) was not at a level I would expect for such a Resturant."

  • "My partner and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here at sir Winstons. The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding, and the best thing that made our night was the effort the employees did to make this night special. Mission accomplished."

  • "My husband and I had a truly romantic & delicious experience eating in this restaurant. We were treated like royalty! The atmosphere was very calming and gave a sense of historical relevance. The food was beyond amazing as well as the cocktails. A surprise complementary dessert sealed the deal. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!"

  • "It was incredible experience. The only complaint was something Sir Winston's had no control over. There was wedding reception below us and the music became very loud and distracting toward the end of our dinner."
