Great experience. Started off in the bar with excellent service from the server and great value at happy hour. The food was very good and our server was superb.

A bit disappointing. Steak was not the temperature we ordered, mushrooms nothing special, salad was drowned in the dressing. We loved the Mickey Mantle in NY but this was not very good.

The food was fantastic. My steak was done perfectly at medium rare and the crab cake was great! The soup was lukewarm. I would have preferred it much warmer. The waiter was good. Ambiance was lovely.

This is a decent steakhouse with generally good food. We were pleased to be able to get same day reservations on a busy weekend night. However, my old school self was slightly put off when greeted by a valet immediately requesting a $10 fee (rather than just allowing patrons to tip for service as is the traditional practice at most upscale eateries)... especially when our vehicle ended up parked on the street 20 feet back from where we pulled up. As you enter the dining area, it is quickly apparent that this is not a place for quiet conversation. Throughout the evening, we and our server struggled to hear one another. That said, the decor is warm and comfortable. While there is a physical menu for most food items, the server's IPad was shared for selection of beverages, additional entree options, and desserts. It felt awkward and a bit rushed. And as has become more of the norm, the cheapest bottle of wine was $85. It was drinkable, but on par with a $13 bottle from the grocery store. Salads were fine... unremarkable, although the house dressing was tasty. My sea bass was piping hot and nicely seasoned. Unfortunately, the little crab topping was fishy and distasteful. The bed of rice lacked flavor and was more al dente than I prefer. My husband's roquefort filet was exceptional and the highlight of the meal. He also had risotto, which was tasty enough... but nothing out of the ordinary. As first time patrons, we were offered a gratis dessert - a large portion of tres leches chocolate cake which was enjoyable and more than two people could eat. In the end, our meal with wine and tip was just under $300. 0verall, we found Mickey Mantles to be a pleasurable dining experience... and with some minor tweaks, it might just merit a 5 star rating.
