Estragon Tapas Bar: your slice of Spain in the South End. Estragon is owned and operated by Julio de Haro and Lara Egger. Voted Best of Boston 2023 by Boston Magazine! Chef Julio was born and raised in Madrid and his cuisine reflects the fresh simplicity of traditional Spanish fare. Many of the dishes are family recipes, served straight from Abu Luisa's kitchen to your table. To complement Estragon's extensive tapas menu, you'll find a unique cocktail list, a selection of local and craft beers, and an all-Spanish wine list with references spanning both the country's established and emerging wine regions. As always, Estragon is a joy and delight…to eat delicious Spanish tapas dishes (and to explore some new offerings), to enjoy a ‘time out’ from the day-to-day of life, and to spend time with family and/or friends. I love it!

Our favorite restaurant ever. Food is amazing and they have the best service. Very welcoming. They always make us feel like family. We have been coming here for years. This is a great way to try different foods, and they always have something on special. This is a little far from our house but we always make it out here a few times a year. Would recommend to anyone. This place is incredible!

I love Estragon! It is one of my favorite places with a variety of foods and wonderful cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Their pintxos tapas are wonderful starters and their desserts, especially their xocolata mousse, is to die for. I love their cheeses and and their blue cheese stuffed dates. Their food has wonderful flavors that just melt in your mouth. The staff is friendly, attentive and very personable. And the owners are available and involved with their customers. Would highly recommend!!

The tapas was decent but nothing spectacular. The place has a nice ambience but was surprisingly empty even for a Monday evening. Service was warm.

The experience was top notch. My sister and I took my mom to celebrate Mother’s Day at her request for tapas. The food did not disappoint. The skirt steak, beef shank, crab salad, and goat cheese pintxos were to die for. None of us could pick a favorite. The grilled lamb chops, patatas bravas, and mixta paella were delicious as well. Robert was fantastic! We never felt rushed and even when we were still there at closing, they served another round of drinks and still waited to drop the check. We were the last to leave and a staff member even came outside while we were waiting for our uber to let us know we could wait inside and asked to make sure we were all set. We have all felt recently that restaurants are so packed with reservations you can’t sit and enjoy without feeling rushed. This was the total opposite and a really, really great night. The fun design and ambiance is just a big plus. Highly recommend.

We had a good dinner at Estragon! The artichoke hearts & the lamb chops were the highlight of our dinner… absolutely delicious. The cauliflower mash we had with the lamb chops were out of this world. Drinks were worth the money — they were strong and the flavors were on point. The hibiscus margarita was great! My dad has a shellfish allergy so we were a little limited because they cook shellfish in the same fryer as everything else but that’s more of a heads up to those with allergies! We still had a good time :)
