In Hawaiian, “pono” means “to do things the right way.” For Chef Makani of Pono Burger, that translates to fresh, never frozen organic beef from pasture raised, grass-fed cows; organic ingredients from local farmer’s markets; and fresh cut organic French fries that are not only good for you, but are good for the planet. “I wouldn’t feed our guests anything I wouldn’t feed my family. Perfect for dinner with college kids + roommates. Staff, recommendations, food and milkshakes were all great. Good quantity and fun venue. Walk to SM Pier after dinner.

This was an underwhelming dining experience. Nothing bad about the place but nothing special either. 3 of us got different burgers and shakes and we while there wasn't anything bad about the food there simply wasn't anything to bring us back. Went with a 22 year old, a 90 year old and I'm 55 so you have almost every demographic covered. We'll be trying something else next time we want burgers and shakes.

Maybe the best burger I've ever had in my life (the posh burger). I'm gluten-free and everything was clearly labeled. My burger even had a wooden stick in it labeling it as gluten-free. Their outdoor dining area is adorable and the employees were super friendly. I will visit this place anytime I'm in the LA area in the future!
