   Another great evening at Cafe Birdie! Love their eclectic menu with wonderfully creative drinks! Had the spicy margs and delicious salmon dish! The burrata was fresh and a nice start to our meal. Service and wait staff were all a delight!

   Warm and eclectic ambience and friendly service! The food is small plates to share and each dish I had brought it’s own unique flavors.

   Food is pretty good, but seems inconsistent between visits in portion and quality. Good meal. At 6pm I was turned away at the door saying it was a 2 1/2 hour wait for a table in a half full room. I then booked a reservation on opentable for 6:15. I watched several other people turned away for the same reason while I waited out my 15 minutes. Didn’t get busy. It was a fine meal with fairly inattentive service. Might have just been the night.

   Hip LA, Echo Park, CA cuisine spot. Lively, loud, good food. We had the Moroccan fried chicken, Brussel sprouts and shrimp and grits. No shortage of great food in LA, and this spot holds its own—definitely reserve a table—very much in the know and popular. Silver Lake, Echo Park, very local, very hip, casual and friendly vibe.

   Really disappointed to not have the full menu. The pricing was exorbitant for how small the portions were. Spent $180 and enjoyed the flautas from a street cart on Figueroa much better. The flautas were flavorful and filling and cost $6. Instead of going to cafe birdie again I will be eating much more flavorful and properly priced food. This place has gone downhill from its opening. Let's not even get into how bad the service was. If your staff and kitchen isnt prepared for that many covers, its possibly a good idea to not accept that many covers. The bad service for the holiday seriously showed.

   Valentine’s Day dinner was pretty good, although the first course (shrimp toast for both) was better than the second (crab spaghetti/salmon). The service was excellent. Unfortunately, on patio we had loud, thumping music from next door (bar?). So, between that and Cafe Birdie’s competing music, we were ready to leave as. The other diners seemed to be feeling the same way. The patio is charming and the music didn’t start until halfway through our dinner, around 8:30pm, I think. Next time we’ll eat earlier, if we dine on the patio.

   Valentine’s Day dinner. Such a great fabulous tasty meal. Very busy and a little behind in the kitchen but it wasn’t too big of a deal. Nice to have a meal not be rushed. Everything was delicious.

    The Valentine's Day pre-fix menu was hit and miss for us. Went with my boyfriend. My boyfriend really enjoyed his hamachi starter and steak main course. I had the roasted potato starter which was tasty and very flavorful. My main was the seafood spaghetti w/ uni butter and dungeness crab, which unfortunately just tasted like regular spaghetti as the crab pieces were so small I couldn't really tell whether I was tasting crab with each bite or a bit of salty cheese. The dessert was a shared slice of tiramisu, which was good. The service was pretty good, albeit a bit slow, which was totally understandable for a busy holiday dinner. I'm usually much happier with my dining experiences here and will likely keep coming back but probably not for holiday meals in the future.
