Great service, delicious food, incredible cocktails, friendly staff, intimate setting/ambiance all at a very reasonable price point. Love the neighborhood local feel of the place. Definitely will be back now that we moved nearby.

They charged us twice for our meals and we are still trying to get it taken off our credit card. We would not recommend this place

We visit The City once a month, and almost always end up enjoying a meal at The Fly Trap. The service is exceptional, the food is first-class, and the staff is the best of the best. From appetizers to the main dishes and desserts, everything is prepared with care and attention. Also, the prices are very fair for the amount of food you actually get - this can’t be said for many restaurants in San Francisco! What we like best about The Fly Trap is that it is a true team effort - the back-of-house staff is just as likely to come out and pour water for your or clear your dishes as your server. Every customer is treated with the highest level of respect - we can’t wait for our next visit!!

The salmon was great. And my wife had the Chicken which was equally delicious. Love the Trap!

What a neighborhood gem! Being a bit out of the way and even more hidden with a bit of street repair, this place was a great find. And it has such a great local history since the late 1800s! This is a rare place, indeed. The restaurant and bar a cozy and have a real nice relaxed vibe. The staff knew their menu and profiles of all the items (bar and kitchen) alike. We were enjoying a nice evening out with no cares in the world- and this place really added to our escapism for the 2 hours we were there. No frills, no pretense, all good!

I had a very mixed experience here… the food in general was good and my server was pleasant. However the time to get food was unacceptable… a simple order of bread took 30 minutes. There was no coordination between my server and kitchen… I understand if kitchen is backed up but bread??!!… no reason that can’t come out in reasonable time … then everything appetizer and entree came at once … I sent back entree not wanting to eat cold salmon by the time I finished app…. Some things like this were just bad … but taste once I eventually got it was overall good especially salmon

Just a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food was excellent! Our server Cherry was the best and made our date night special! The bar takes mixology very seriously as well. Just a must for a great experience!!! Can’t believe they’ve been in the city since 1883! THANK YOU!

We were so pleased to find this venue on our last night in San Fran. Great selection of tasty food (equal vegetarian to non vegetarian which was a real treat). Lovely cocktails and good wine selection. Exceptional service.

Disappointed it was a step above an Applebees.. not what I expected but live and learn, again. Whatever reviews I must have read weren’t from trained diners. Uncomfortable seating to blah food. More like a bar than restaurant.

Everything was great except for slow drink service. Then the waiter made a comment about tip which I thought was classless and unprofessional. Wanted to go back again before dinner was even over to try other things on the menu but the server left a poor memory and taste in my mouth
