   They don’t serve food anymore. Cocktails are below standards. Service is super slow. The sound system was poor. But good band

   Reserved a table for 4. I don't know why. There's no reason to reserve. There was no one to check us in. There was no table reserved for us nor any back room area, nor needed as place was empty and we were told to sit anywhere. This is a Bar so I don't see why they have an open table account... The chef was sick so no food available. Saving graces for this place: great cocktails and nice decor. Would go back for the cocktails, but that's about it.

   Nous avions fait la réservation presqu'une semaine à l'avance. Une fois sur les lieux on nous dit qu'il n'y a pas de place car il y a une fonction privée. Soirée ruinée et nous devions chercher une autre place ce qui n'était pas simple car tout était plein à cette heure-là. On nous a dit qu'on nous contacterait dans 2 jours. On attends toujours 8 jours plus tard.

   I love Mayfair. I tend to go earlier in the evening and do not treat it as a club. As a bar/lounge it is first-rate. Wonderful artisanal cocktails served in appropriate period stemware. Very good snacks. The corner nook with swing and loveseat is especially enjoyable.
