    An Unforgettable Birthday at The Oceanaire – Five Stars! We recently celebrated a special birthday at The Oceanaire in Boston, and the entire experience was flawless. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful details, everything exceeded our expectations. Our servers, Bridgette and Irving, were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made us feel completely taken care of. A heartfelt thank-you to Charlie, the manager, who helped coordinate a surprise that made the night truly unforgettable. His effort in organizing a custom birthday cake for the guest of honor added such a thoughtful, personal touch. The food was outstanding. The swordfish was perfectly grilled and bursting with flavor, and the Chilean sea bass was rich, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Every dish was plated beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. The Oceanaire delivered elegance, warmth, and exceptional service from beginning to end. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to celebrate someone special, this is it. We’ll definitely be back—and recommending it to everyone we know!

    I had a girls night out for good dinner and drinks and both very very good. My reservation was for 8:15 and we were seated promptly. The waiter was wonderful, he made sure we had a full service experience and was in tune with all our needs. Although it was a very rainy day Oceanaire made our girls night out great!

    Another night of steaks, lobster and pasta - which is why this trip has been so wonderful :) This time I had the surf-and-turf and found the steak to be excellent (although just slightly overcooked) and the lobster both tasty and easy to extract. The comments from the table were also of positive for the food. The restaurant itself was mostly empty, resulting in a very quiet experience, but given the number of tables in the space, and the vaulted stone ceilings and walls (was once a bank) it would be incredibly noisy if busy.

    This is one of our two upscale special occasion places (in this instance my wife's birthday). The food is excellent and the atmosphere is spectacular. It is pricey but you get value for your money. Great location across the street from Govt. Center T station.

    Food and ambiance was outstanding. The service n Ed’s to be a bit more attentive. Our side dis did not arrive until we were almost finished with the entrée. They took it off the second time we asked. We will go back for the great food and drinks.

    All the seafood ordered by my party of 10 was excellent. Recommend the crab cakes particularly. The drinks were a little disappointing, especially 2 martinis served at room temp.
