El Catrín Destilería abrió sus puertas en verano de 2014 en el distrito de la Destilería. Este auténtico restaurante mexicano cuenta con un mural impresionante de 50 x 150 metros y con unos de los mejores patios y carta de cocteles de la ciudad. Además, ofrece un ambiente animado y un personal divertido para que las comidas sean un éxito asegurado. El chef Le Calvez, originario de Ciudad de México, se enorgullece de presentar a los comensales de Toronto los sabores frescos que representan la famosa gastronomía de su tierra natal.

    We were fortunate to get a shady corner patio table. We really appreciated the cool misting on a hot, sunny day! A highlight was the 2 flights of 4 delicious margaritas, shared among 4 of us. We also enjoyed the chips and guac, 3 different selections of tacos and a variety of desserts! Good service. A bit pricey but worth the splurge for a fun outing.

    Perfect, great food, awesome service from the waiter. One of our party have food allergies and she talked to the chef to make sure all our plates were safe so he could taste all of them if he wanted to!

    Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. We were seated at a dirty table, so we asked to be moved. The new table hadn’t been cleaned either, but we didn’t say anything. The plates were not properly washed—there was guacamole on the bottoms of the side plates, which we found very off-putting. While the server was very serious and polite, he seemed uncomfortable speaking to women or children. Food was good. The person who brought us some extra chips without us even asking was a young Asian guy who made the experience less uncomfortable. So thanks to him for being pleasant.

    It was amazing to celebrate multiple events with family’s from overseas. Highly recommend for group party!

    The restaurant has a nice patio with good food. However, the portions are small and pricey. Our waiter was energetic and talkative. The music was not loud, but always with the same rhythm. You should consider reserving a table, as it is always busy and there is always a lineup at the entrance. We had a good time there on a Saturday evening.

    Jose looked after our children's corner very well, he made sure from babies to adults were looked after and happy. Would love Jose as our server again in the future!
