Danji showcases authentic Korean flavors prepared with classic techniques to enhance the taste, textures, and aesthetic of each dish. We offer small but shareable portions served in multiple courses, allowing diners to enjoy each dish hot out of the kitchen. Above all, Danji, from its decor to its music, represents our idea of a great place to enjoy amazing food.

At Danji and Hanjan we choose to use meat raised with no antibiotics or growth hormones. Our fish are caught wild and are not overfished and endangered. We try to use as much organic and local produce as possible and certainly do not use chemicals, such as MSG, to enhance flavors. No doubt these ingredients cost more but we believe the food we consume should be healthy and responsible as well as delicious.

    Really a fantastic experience. Food is delicious and well portioned. I tried kimchi for the first time and enjoyed it! Loved the table drawers and the spoon wall. Excellent service and fun space. Was a tad bit loud but that’s New York City!

    Dined last night. Simple limited menu but what they had was great. A number of tasty vegetarian dishes. Would go back.

    My favorite theater district restaurant, never disappoints. I do wish you'd offer sake by the carafe instead of a full bottle only.

    Food was good but very over-priced. We came pre-pandemic and enjoyed the restaurant, but given what we paid this time for what we got (we eat Korean food all the time so paying $12 for over-ripe kimchi was symbolic of our dining experience), we will likely not be returning.

    I loved the recommended menu. The dishes appeared at perfect timing and they were all delicious, especially the sashimi at the first course.

    Delicious food, great service. We had a 5:00 reservation and it filled up quickly after that. Always a special treat to eat at Danji. The scallion shrimp pancake and beef sliders are A MUST!!

    The decor had me when I walked in. Service was lovely and the food was delicious. We are tourists who were looking for something that wasn’t in the hubbub of Broadway. Danji was perfect. We will most definitely return.
