If you want your food taken off the table while you are still chewing and have not quite finished the plate--this is the place for you! The service is so rushed that the feeling is definitely hurry up and get out. Most unpleasant. And, if you want to pay $5 for a basket of bread and the bread is not even warmed and is soggy and the basket is filled with breadsticks--this is the place for you. As for me, I won't return. The food was also mediocre.

The noise level is high. We had two birthdays at this dinner and no one recognized the event. Food was fine. Trout was good. Server was rushed. Overall ok but not great for a special evening.

I was surprised because others enjoyed this so much. Possibly an off night for us but the focaccia bread was super dry and did not taste fresh. Our pasta noodles were all over cooked and mushy. We have had much better Italian food.

This is the quintessential Chicago neighborhood restaurant. The food is delicious, authentic, and priced fairly. The atmosphere is friendly & vibrant. Neighbors run into each other here. It’s a gem & always worth a visit.

We loved the trout dish. I was not as crazy about the lamb pasta dish. The service was excellent, and the ambience was charming. Fennel salad was great too small to share. We’ll definitely come back here.

Absolutely love Anteprima and while it’s one of our favorite restaurants in Andersonville, it felt like it was a tad off in the kitchen from what it usually is. The first 2 dishes were great. The celery root salad and arancini were delicious. Our main pasta and shrimp were the main issues. The pasta, while it was delicious, was lukewarm and felt like it was very dry. The ragu was delicious but there was very little of it. And the grilled shrimp were delicious but the orzo felt immensely sweet. The strawberry/rhubarb crisp was fine but didn’t feel very crisp. It needed longer under a broiler. I’m saying all this because we’ve always loved our experiences here in the past and last night the service was great as always and the food was mostly very tasty but it definitely felt off compared to previous visits. And we’d hate to see it continue to go this route.
