Ambiance was nice. Warm, colorful, and cozy on a winter night. The Margaritas are the best. Our server was nice enough but did not make an effort to be friendly. She simply took our order and brought our food. She may have smiled but not noticeable. Our food was tasty, however, my dish and my friends, which both included chicken were full of cartilage pieces. We both ended up with quite a pile on pur plates. Kindly, when we told the server, both entrees were removed from our bill. I would go again. We had a good time.

My dad and I decided to try a new place for a Sunday brunch, and Hecho did not disappoint. The vibe was what I imagine a bar in Mexico City would be like - a cantina sign outside, bright colored tiles accenting the bar, wrought-iron pillars separating the main dining areas from the bar, and a cool concrete wall painted with faded logos. The music was a little loud but added to the grungy atmosphere. It wasn't very busy this morning, but I can imagine that, with a lot more people, the noise level would get loud, bouncing of the hard surfaces. The options for food all sounded so good, and it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering the breakfast burrito with chorizo and migas with chicken (scrambled eggs with roasted vegetables, black beans, avocado, and pico on the side all in top of tostadas). They were both wonderful. The earthenware bowl that my migas came in was beautiful too. Service was very good. The waitress was very nice and didn't rush us to finish, which is a refreshing pace compared to the usual American dining experience. Although some people may interpret this as slow, it's all a matter of opinion. I would recommend this to anyone and I look forward to returning and trying other dishes!

I enjoy each trip to Hecho. It's nicely decorated and presents an authentic atmosphere. The staff is friendly and checks in at reasonable intervals. The drinks from the bar menu are terrific with ample tequila and mezcal offerings. The food is the real star of the experience. The tacos are "street style," and have several filing toppings. I typically order off the eats, or larger portion section of the menu. Whether it's a seafood stew, a seared, chile sliced skirt steak, or pollo, you're going to be satisfied.

We took advantage of the $3 happy hour tacos, so very affordable. We were there on a Sunday evening, so there were only a few other tables taken. We had no trouble visiting, but I'm not sure that would be the case if the restaurant were full. The food reminded me of food we've eaten in Mexico, especially the housemade chips, guacamole, and salsa. A little more spicy than I anticipated, but not too much so.

We went Sunday at 10am. It was easy to get a table, and they were very accommodating of my two little kids. It was a lovely meal!

The place is charming and the staff was attentive. We went as a group of six. The first thing we shared were the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was honestly the best guacamole I’ve ever had. Then we ordered various dishes. One of the dishes was the special, tortilla soup. Tortilla soup is a down-home common soup that you can get in Mexico or most Mexican restaurants. This tortilla soup was trying to be something it should never be. It included kale and pickled cactus. It was inedible and expensive at $15 a bowl. The rest of the food was average. It was a great place to hang out with friends, but I wouldn’t go back for the food

We had a wonderful time and everyone was happy with their meal. We had 2 small children with us for happy hour and they were entertained with coloring and had a children's menu option.
