I just adore this place. The food is excellent, priced well for what it is and the quality, and I am so happy that they’ve survived the current apocalypse so far.

The last time I went there it was a no tipping restaurant. This time, the prices were still high, but now we had to include a tip. So while the food is good, I think the portions are too small and too expensive. I have had Patatas Bravas all over town, its potatoes for goodness sake, not caviar! and they give you the smallest portion …...Saffron rice was the bomb, crispy rice with lots of flavor. Mushrooms with egg yolk were excellent.

The food and service were outstanding. I nearly fell over when I got the bill though. $200 for 2. Only one person drinking. Will still definitely go back.

Huertas is good, but definitely not great tapas. Mussels were very nothing. Serrano was very good, but that has little to do with Huertas. Same with the Manchego. Patatas bravas needed more heat and a bit less gooey sauce. Octopus was great, done just right. Chorizo was tasty but heavy. 2 uninteresting desserts were offered. Wines were obscure but OK. No Cardinal Mendoza ....? Service was pleasant and attentive.
