Marelle, meaning "Star of the Sea," offers a menu that celebrates the bounty of land and sea, featuring signature dishes like Hamachi Crudo, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Pan Roasted King Salmon, and 12 oz New York Steak. Our bar program, curated by Amanda Fewster, includes unique cocktails such as “La Vie En Rose” and “Star of the Sea” (our famous seashell cocktail). Designed by Gulla Jónsdóttir, Marelle's space reflects natural beauty and elegance, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor dining.

I made the reservation for my party of 6. The place is very nice and we were excited to see that. as it was the first time we were here. We ordered food and waited a very long time for it to arrive. Had to ask where and when it would be arriving. (our first warning). The $20 Caesar salad was quite large (enough for two) and very good. BUT! Our lamb dish had two long pieces of meat (4 inches by 1/2 in) and not medium rare (what our waiter told us it would be) and two carrots the same length. It was over cooked and not seasoned well. It was over $50 for this dish. Since we had waited so long didn't have time to order anything else. We complained about this dismal dish and not one word of sorry or we will take it off the bill or nothing. We all had though we would come back ....but changed our minds. Not for us. Many other places in Santa Monica!

Food was delicious as always especially the stone fruit salad and crispy chicken sandwich. We also loved the ahi tuna tartare. Service started off well but deteriorated as the lunch progressed. It was difficult to get the server’s attention at any time and had to ask the manager to get our bill. This is why I have not returned to your restaurant even tho I live across the street. Your staff needs more training. They r not professional nor attentive!

Way too loud. I could hardly hear my dinner mate over the noise from the bar. Service was great and the food was terrific. A bit pricey at $250 for dinner for 2 without apps or dessert. But I am from Atlanta, so maybe this is what I should expect. Though the app said $$ not $$$$.

The service was amazing, they were consistently checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything and that the food was to our satisfaction. The restaurant had an excellent ambiance and the decor was beautiful. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go again. 10/10

Marelle was incredible! My experience was highlighted by Alina, who made my birthday celebration at the restaurant so special. She was extremely attentive, provided great recommendations from the menu, and even brought a small complementary cake for my day. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. The dishes are delicious and fresh, and the service is perhaps even better!!! I will be back soon.
