Kitchen on George is a dynamic part of Mobile’s vibrant local restaurant scene. We celebrated our 6th anniversary recently and have been rated the number one restaurant in Mobile on Trip Advisor for 4 years in a row!

As a teaching kitchen, we provide a learning lab for culinary students from Virginia College's Culinard program and frequently have students participating in the day-to-day operations under supervision of our award winning Executive Chef Bryan Cates.

The restaurant's lunch, dinner and brunch menus change seasonally to focus on fresh, locally sourced and regional cuisine featuring fresh Gulf seafood and other delights. Located in the charming neighborhood of the Oakleigh Garden Historic District, the restaurant is also close to businesses, local attractions, and a few blocks from many downtown area hotels.

The Restaurant was closed, has been closed for weeks and your web site is still booking reservations, will never use Open Table again. Poor, poor service, users beware!

Always enjoy stopping at the restaurant on George on our way back from Biloxi. The food and service our top notch we look forward to stopping there soon.

i love this place. my wife and I have been a number of times and went for our anniversary. had a wonderful time. she has a gluten allergy and has never had a problem and loves the food. we even tried the ice cream that is locally made and gluten free. it was excellent. I also love the craft beer selection. I would recommend to anyone. great for just a dinner date or a special occasion. we will return soon.

The Maitre d tried to seat six of us with three on a long bench seat which would have been very unpleasant for conversation. He didn't take a hint when we asked if there wasn't a better place. I finally went and found a nice location and basically told him I wanted two tables pulled together in a quiet corner of the place, so we could be more comfortable and be able to converse which was the whole point of dining together. After that was accomplished, everything went exceptionally well. Our server, Abby, was great. She did not rush us but was there when needed. Both of those items are so important. The food and wine were very good.
