   From NYC - to have a chef who trained at la Bernadin is very good value. Staff was excellent. The tables for two would be for 4 or more in NYC.

   I knew it would be good. It was sensational. Amazing flavors. Each dish (and wine pairing) were fresh, delicious, and exquisitely prepared. Highly recommend.

   While the food and service were excellent, what was notable to our group about Jeong was the atmosphere and aesthetics: small with well-spaced tables; quiet (attention clearly was paid to controlling the noise level); a calm atmosphere and service; interior decoration and table decoration that is consistent in its color scheme and clean lines (yet warm with use of wood, browns and tans, and copper). These elements made the dining experience truly enjoyable.

   First of all, I am shocked that Jeong doesn’t have a Michelin star or two yet. It’s criminal. The food is incredible. Chef Dave has the most remarkable ability to incorporate subtlety and complexity into his delicate dishes. Jen’s warm greeting when you walk in feels like coming home. The atmosphere is beautiful, calming, and a perfect compliment to the entire experience. You cannot find a finder dining experience in Chicago for the price…or at any price for that matter. Five stars for sure!!!

   It was truly an enjoyable experience. We love tasting menus but generally there is at least one dish you are not fan of but not at Jeong, every dish was delicious and impeccable service.

   Jeong is one of my favorite restaurants! It's a great place to go for a special occasion. I got to introduce my partner to it recently for our anniversary. The food is always excellent and the couple that runs it are so welcoming and make the restaurant so warm and friendly. I love that they keep signature dishes like the salmon and the scallop in addition to new dishes. I especially loved the starter soup which reminded me of soups my mom makes. Also, definitely try the gojuchang cocktail. I was skeptical but it has become one of my favorite drinks.

   What an excellent experience overall. Great food probably the best scallop I've eaten in my life. Outstanding service cannot really fault the restaurant for anything it was a great evening.

   Great service with great food. The tables could be a bit too close to each other, so if your neighbors are loud then it could be a bit noisy

    Jeong was a great experience for my artist wife’s birthday dinner. The unmarked restaurant is calm and dimly lit, tastefully and sparsely appointed, with courteously spaced tables and fairly unobtrusive music. It’s an eight-course tasting menu with optional a la carte drinks (the Jujube was a deeply flavorful cocktail). All courses were fine-dining staples with Korean inflections seamless blended in. The service was friendly and seamless and we were treated very well. Coursing was timely but not rushed. Worth noting that the clientele was well-behaved, less and less common these days.
