   Thomas was a wonderful server with attention to details. The pork chop was the best we’ve ever eaten. Huge portion, sprinkled with a spicy herb blend and cooked to perfection. Black cod was well prepared. Interesting red beet and potato salad.

   The server was very nice. The food was good, but unfortunately, not great. The Shrimp Louis Salad had 8 bay shrimp, which having had Shrimp Louis’ at many restaurants in the North Bay would characterize this as more of a starter salad rather than a meal. The French Toast had good flavor and was nicely presented, and the crunchy coating lifted it. But the bread used was a soft bread so the ‘toast’ was a bit mushy. The edges were very good but the center didn’t hold together. Perhaps a more dense bread would have been a choice? The Eggs Benedict were delicious, but because the crap was wet, made the English muffin a little soggy. All in all, good flavors, but, just off the mark for great due to execution.

   Excellent food in a stunning setting. Dining room is old fashioned in a comfortable way, but it’s all about the views of the rugged Pacific coastline.

   Have eaten here a couple of times before. Can't find a better view of the ocean and the staff are the best. The food on the other hand is a totally different story. Don't get the eggs benedict. The muffin under both of ours was not only not toasted it was cold i.e. like it was not defrosted. When I returned mine, the new muffin was toasted but this time the eggs were practically hard boiled and the dish had no sauce. Very disappointed and please do better. When we booked, I noted it was our anniversary, but there was no mention of it when we checked in. Our waiter is the one who asked if we were celebrating an event and when we said we were, he offered a complementary desert. His service made the meal.

   We had the Black Cod and Pork chop. both were delicious. The service was very good. Beautiful view. We had a very enjoyable meal for our Anniversary

    Almost all tables have a nice view out the windows to the water. Service excellent. GET THE STEAK! We are carnivores and this steak was as good as any $$$$ steakhouse in the SFBA. Note restaurant is hard to see if you're driving north on Hwy 1; easier to see the sign when driving south. Turn-off is uphill from the hwy. Park in the lot behind the hotel, walk down to the two buildings, and Drake's restaurant is on the RH side.
