   Very diverse menu, and everything we had was delicious! We had one vegan in our party, and the staff was very helpful in steering her in the right direction.

   We had a delicious vegetarian meal! We got the fried cauliflower to start, which was spicy but not too much. It’s a very large portion too. Then we ordered Mali Kofta and the red pumpkin dish and cheese naan. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was a special occasion and the staff was very attentive. We loved sitting at the table by the window.

   I was looking for an Indian restaurant in the East Village, and found Malai Markle on Open Table. I'm so glad that I did. First of all, the space is quite nice and feels most comfortable. The dahl makhani was amazing - possibly the best that I've ever had. Delicious tomato soup and Tandoori roti, too. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. I look forward to going back.

   Not a good experience and embarrassing to take a friend from out of town. Food was sub par and the wait staff was more wait than serve. Bad choice.
