As the name implies, Luke Wholey's Alaskan Grille is a predominately seafood restaurant that has several fish based dishes on the menu. The restaurant has a separate section for children along with a bar menu that offers seasonal cocktails, a wine list and a special Draft list for beer. All of the beverages in the menu go well with the seafood on offer, but each can be ordered by the glass as well. Luke Wholey's Alaskan Grille also boasts a separate sushi menu which is divided into a full 3 course meal. Traditional favorites include shrimp, eel, salmon, scallops, flying fish roe along with a variety of seafood rolls that range from shrimp and salmon to veggie and crab. The signature rolls on the menu include the Spider Roll which is filled with soft shell crab, fresh vegetables and sauces.

It’s always a good time @ Luke Wholey’s! The food is great (don’t sleep on the fried oysters) They will make you a really good drink w/dinner and the service is top notch! (Ask for Kevin’s section!) Next time you’re in the strip district & looking for a good meal stop by Luke’s restaurant I’m serious, you won’t be disappointed.

They seemed understaffed for how busy it was so I have to give them a pass on service. The food was fine. Portion size was a the smaller size for the price point. I’m in no hurry to return, but I’d still go back.

I have enjoyed the Alaskan Grille on many occasions in the past. However this is only my second time eating lunch there. My overall experience was fine, the single complaint I need to air is, when doing lunch people only have a limited amount of time to enjoy. Myself & my guest showed up at 12:03 & did not receive our lunch until 12:39. Not shore why the slow service being the restaurant was not overly crowed. Mike M

Good food but it took a really long time to get seated even with a reservation and a long time to get the food for no apparent reason (over half an hour)

So disappointing the roll for the lobster roll was stale. The table next to us was commenting as well. Sushi was not rolled tightly looked sort of messy.

Food was good, could have / should have been served hotter. It was a challenging night however with the power failure that blacked out half of the strip district along Penn Ave including Luke Wholey's. Cheesy grits with the Catfish special were a bit heavy too.

Our waitress was great… young girl with piercings, can’t remember her name. My friends and I came and ordered the shrimp tacos and a bunch of sushi rolls and everything was very fresh.
