   Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. My family and I went to Vue 412 for my 70th birthday dinner. We were 30 minutes earlier than our reservation on a Wednesday night, but we were seated right away at a wonderful table for five that was facing the window so everyone had a terrific view. The dining room on the entry level was almost empty at 6 pm, which is probably why we got terrific service. From the coat check, to our drinks, to the wonderful meal, the service could not have been faster, more friendly or more efficient. The table was beautifully set. While waiting for our food, they brought out wonderful French bread with an olive tapenade. I have many food allergies and they listened to everything and cooked me a wonderful strip steak, without salt or spices. It was heavenly. My husband had the salmon wrapped with prosciutto, my daughter the chicken parmigiana. All delicious. The other two people had an appetizer and a salad for their dinner, and the waitress brought everything out together, which is what we asked for. Very considerate! For dessert, they brought a sparkler on cotton candy in a tall glass! They sang Happy Birthday to me - it was a wonderful way to finish a wonderful meal. The portions are ample, so be warned not to order too much. Please keep up the great work, Vue 412.

   The atmosphere was outstanding! We had such a beautiful view of the city. The food was delicious & the service was great. Went there for me & my boyfriends 1 year anniversary & we will definitely be coming back.

   I booked this restaurant in January for my sons rehersal dinner. We made our plans for food tasting with JJ. Our appointment was for late May as the dinner for 20 is in July. Very sadly, my husband passed away in early May. As we went to our scheduled food tasting, we called as we were going to be a few minutes late. We were informed, quite rudely, that our reservation for 20 was lost and that they had no tasting scheduled. We were upset , but since we were almost there, we went anyway. We met with Dan, who pretended to be a manager and we spent 2 hours with him selecting food with his promises we are all set nothing to worry about. I never heard from him again and when I called the restaurant, they say they lost our reservation again. And Dan was not a manager, but a server, and was fired. I then speak to Melissa who told me she has been there for years and she promises it will be a beautiful event. I take an hour and go over everything again. I never hear from her again. I call the restaurant and find out that she resigned two weeks later. Then in 1 summer, 4 managers later, I get the owner Rose. Who also says they lost our reservation. This was extremely stressful to say the least and I tell her the whole story, including losing my beloved husband right before our sons wedding. She is stone cold and says " I have problems too" WOW. DO NOT DO NOT plan an event here. These people are cold, heartless, disorganized and DO NOT care about their customers. We are going to another restaurant and the new place was kind enough to help us a few weeks before the event. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM VUE 412.

   Just a very weird vibe from the moment we got there. The staff was friendly, but they didn't even seem like they wanted to be there. The food was sub par and very overpriced considering the quality. Would not recommend or return.

   The view and server were both lovely. The first thing I ordered, the burata , was sold out. The calamari was awful. We couldn't eat it. The worst any of us ever had! The cocktails were yummy! My rib eye had good flavor , but needed to be trimmed more. I was told the scallops and the short ribs were good. None of us wanted to stay for desert. We had cappuccino.

   This was my second visit in a week, I brought out of town visitors both times. The view is spectacular! This time they were short staffed in the kitchen, they did warn us and luckily we were not in a hurry, but it did take a really long time! Another pet peeve of mine is don't serve Prosecco (sparkling wine) in a wine glass! Overall, still a wonderful experience and the food was excellent! I will return again, most likely with out of town visitors!

   Great place for special occasions or out of town visitors because of the view -- which is worth the trip. Food is quite good, and justifies choosing this restaurant over others along Mount Washington. Relatively small with plenty of window view tables on three floors. Take the Duquesne Jnclube up to make the visit extra special.

    It is all about the view: wonderful! Do not expect sophisticated food or service, but If you want a great view and experience of Pittsburgh it is very nice! The bread with olive oil and balsamic is great. The wine could be better appreciated if they serve it with crystal glasses.
