Simply Fondue LivermoreExcellent service at Simply FondueAfter being given a recommendation, by a friend, to dine at Simply Fondue, I decided to make a reservation for my wedding anniversary. The recommendation was definitely correct. Simply Fondue was a very nice place to spend an evening with my wife. The food selection was a bit daunting at first, but our server was able to explain the options.
The bartender also gets kudos for the excellent Mr. Belvedere martini that he made.

Our last minute Open Table reservation got us in to celebrate a belated Mother's Day family dinner. We were seated immediately and our waitress Christina was delightfully attentive. She took great care of us throughout the entire meal. Extra dippers were eagerly given and consumed. We had 2 cheese fondues and 2 chocolate ones which was the perfect amount of food for our group of four. Like the touch of being able to flambé our marshmallows before dipping. Loved the feel and mood of this restaurant. Our waiter was amazing. Very friendly and informative about the menu and how it all worked. He was very attentive to our needs. Atmosphere was very cool and relaxing. The food was awesome. Definatly, we left super full.
I for sure recommend this restaurant to everyone. Its fun to cook up your own stuff how you like it... The food on the tables looked delicious. We had read reviews that portions were small. Well, they are but I woulnt have it any other way. Small portions of lots of different types of food. The cheese appetizer fortina was savory. You get your melted cheese and a bowl of veggies and a second bowl of bread squares for dipping. The best dipped item was grapes and apples. My favorite was the pepper beef and maple beef. Tender chunks of meet that you grill yourself on a burner in front of you. Chocolate dessert was decadent. Great assortment of goodies was given rice crispies, cheese cake, marshmallow, strawberries etc.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFOOD FOR FUNFrom the front desk welcome to the excellent drink service in the bar to our pair of waitresses, everything was enjoyable. As first time visitors, they cheerfully explained what the various options were and offered recommendations. We ordered the Fondue Sampler, and had more than enough food for all four of us. One couple opted for the cheese course, and the other did the dessert course, both which satisfied all of us. We did the traditional oil fondue and the grill, and had more meat, seafood and vegetables that we could finish. It was a bit pricey but we ordered the four course meal that easily could have fed 4-5 people and even after 6 drinks and our two oversized meals and a healthy tip we paid less than $200. We had several drinks and tons of food all of which was good. Past experience with a larger multi-store fondue network had usualy left us feeling stuffed, plump, and poor. This place seemed a lot classier in many ways including because they didn't seem fixated on pushing just their mega-everything package. We had cheese fondue to start (the portion struck us initially as small but as we moved on to the next thing, it ended up seeming just fine). The salads were good -- not afterthoughts. We opted for the Sangria fondue which was neither calorie-rich nor sugary. With 4 of us at the table we got to choose 2 different cheese fondues, 2 different meat preps and 2 different chocolate fondues. The Sharp Cheddar cheese fondue was yummy and was served with bread and veggies for dipping. The beef was high quality and came with a variety of marinades and dipping sauces, along with veggies.
