Diner Reviews
  • "The sunset is a beautiful setting for dinner, the service is attentive and overall experience is great."

  • "My new wife and I ate here our first night in Aruba for our Honeymoon. One of the main reasons we chose Aruba was for all the great dining scenes, and this place blew everything else out of the water. The steak/lobster/grouper were all perfect and melted in your mouth. A great view for the sun setting as well!"

  • "Our server was awesome. He had recommendations for wine and which fish to eat. We took all of his recommendations and he was spot on. Must do on the Aruba to-do list"
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Simply Fish was delicious! I had the macadamia crusted grouper and it was fantastic. It also has a great atmosphere since you are right on the beach"

  • "It was a great location. We were there on the 4th of July and were able to see some fireworks and enjoy sitting on the beach while dining. The food was good, not the best we had on the island but still very good. Being able to sit on the beach was great though. Service was also very good."

  • "We were on vacation from New York City, after moving from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Neither of us are strangers to excellent seafood. Simply Fish was recommended to us by someone, I unfortunately cannot recall who, once we arrived in Aruba. We chose it over a rival seafood establishment and absolutely were. Not. Disappointed. It was the best fish we've ever had. It was the best overall dining experience we've ever had. Our entree was served right as the sky exploded with a famous Aruban sunset. All in all, a fantastic, fantastic experience, and one of the chief reasons why we would visit Aruba for a second time."

  • "I am not sure why more beach resorts don't convert their beach to restaurants at night. Food is good, atmosphere among the best ever."

  • "Everything was great!!!! Juan and Emilio were awesome and attending to all our needs. We enjoyed our personalized menu, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend for special occasions or just a romantic night out for a beach front dinner."

  • "On the beach at sunset. Food and service are outstanding."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "This was perfect. Got the timing just right for sunset and it was beautiful. Service for main dish takes a little time, but the scenery and conversations with family and friends make up."
    Dined on 6/18/2014
  • "This is good place for romantic, food is ok, too expensive, not attractive compare the price you pay $40 for a small piece of fish."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Can't beat the sunset dining experience at this location. As part of Marriott, makes it even better as the service is outstanding. Fine dining with your feet in the sand is incredible."
    Dined on 6/1/2014
  • "It was our wedding anniversary. The food was perfect, the waiters and waitresses were perfect. The beach was perfect I couldn't have asked for anything more."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "We have eaten at Simply Fish every time we vacation in Aruba so I know what I'm talking about when I say the quality of the food has gone way down. I don't know if they were under staffed but our server was nice but inattentive. Our salad was never served and the entire experience was disappointing. Although the location is amazing and dining in the sand is what we do in Aruba, we won't be back."
    Dined on 5/5/2014
  • "It's right on the beach outside the Marriotts so an easy walk from adjacent hotels. Fantastic seafood and service. "

  • "Our waiter was great. Lovely atmosphere, very romantic. Food was fine."

  • "Ate here my first night in Aruba. Atmosphere was just what I needed to unwind. Dining with my feet in the sand was wonderful. Food was ok. Fish was blah, boring and not seasoned very well. Nothing special. Decided to try other restaurants and cancelled second reservation. Service was fine. "

  • "This was our 3rd time dining at Simply Fish. The food was cold, and when we let the person who brought out our food know, he brought gave us luke warm food in place of it. Our server Maurice was very unattentive the entire evening. He did offer us 2 glasses of wine to try to make up for the cold food...but other than the beautiful scenery/beach we felt that this was a disappointing dining experience. So dishearting since this was one of our favorite places to dine."

  • "The food and service were just ok. We ordered the surf and turf which came with the filet mignon and the lobster tail. The lobster tail was over cooked and a little rubbery. The sides were also just sub par. Overall, I think this is a nice romantic option, but perhaps try one of the fish blackened versus the lobster."

  • "Although the scenic elements of this 'beach' restaurant are stunning like the rest along the strip, the food was severely lacking. My swordfish was dry and served with minuscule portions of chutney/salsa which were too small to compensate. Both vegetables served with the entree were completely cold at time served. Service was average to good, but this failed to pull the experience together. Simply Fish certainly will not inspire me to make a second visit."

  • "This is the spot I chose for my wife's birthday dinner. She loved it and we both liked the convenience of being at our hotel. I would definitely recommend and return on my next trip. Thank You"

  • "Amazing view, incredible food and a staff that truly cares about your experience! Simply Fish... Simply Amazing!"

  • "A must if you are in Aruba. Time the reservation half hour before sunset. Great fish, and I don't like fish. Table is on the beach so you will get sand in your toes! "

  • "This literally does knock-your-socks-off because it is barefoot dining in the sand at its finest. Our sunset dinner here will never be forgotten as it was one of the best we have ever experienced. Our table was on the surf with the fiery sun setting behind the sailboats on the horizon. The macadamia nut grouper was the best I have ever eaten. Our waitstaff was wonderful, attending to us and yet allowing us to enjoy this peaceful, gorgeous setting. There are two places we would dine when we return to Aruba, and this is a must!"

  • "Simply Fish was a perfect dinner to end our trip to Aruba, the server Oscar was excellent just the right amount of customer service without being overbearing. Pleasant and very much paid attention to the details of our meal. He thought my tuna might be undercooked for my taste brought it to my attention and had it grilled just slightly more. Ambience is very romantic however this beach is a bit busier than some of the other dine I the sand restaurants. "

  • "This place is absolutely amazing. The view is incredible, with tables literally 15 feet from the water and feet in the sand. The food was outstanding and very innovative. Our wait staff was very attentive and personable. I have not had food this great in years. The entire experience is overwhelming and made me feel so blessed. I felt like I was dining like a rockstar! It's a great place to create memories. We will be back on our next vacation to Aruba. "

  • "This was by far my favorite dinner while I was in Aruba. The atmosphere was amazing, you sit right at the waters edge and watch the sunset! The food was excellent too! The macadamia nut grouper was fantastic! This is a restaurant is a "MUST"!"

  • "Very romantic. Location right on the beach. Food was average for the price."

  • "We always love going to this beach front restaurant on our first night in Aruba and watching the gorgeous sunset. However, they have changed their menu and the fish wasn't as fresh and flavorful as in the past. We'll still go on our next trip but I hope their chef reconsiders where his fish is being purchased and how it's being prepared."

  • "Marriott never disappoints it is a must when visiting Aruba especially for fish lovers. Seabass was amazing!"

  • "Our dinner could not have been better! Our table was just a few feet from the water. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious. Our dinner was absolutely perfect!"

  • "For the quality of the food, I would rather eat further down the beach for 50% less"

  • "We were staying at the Marriott in Aruba, and Simply Fish was one of the restaurants on the site. The tables are set up on the beach with linen table cloths, candles and nice china. There was entertainment that was very good. We were with 2 other couples, and could not have asked for a nicer evening. The grouper was very good."

  • "Outside ocean seating is very beautiful service was great but we were disappointed with the meals. This was our third time here loved the first ok on the second would not return from our third dinner. The sides are all precooked and overcooked. The new prefixed menu is to pick one fish with two sides and we all ordered different fish and different sides but the fish all looked and tasted the same. We were sadly disappointed since this restaurant was a highlight on our first visit 5 years ago. The menu is very limited also. But for a beautiful sunset and cocktails it's a perfect location. "

  • "For the past three visits, I have eaten at Simply Fish on Palm Beach. The first time in 2010 the food and service were just marginal. In 2011 there was much improvement; this time the food, service and ambiance were excellent. Our waiter Mercurio was very attentive, and explained each dish and wine very well to my girlfriend and me. We lingered long afterward, enjoying an after dinner aperitif and the beautiful evening there in Aruba. We will return again, and soon, to both the island and to Simply Fish."

  • "Our reservation was for 6:15, were not seated until 6:45. We used some of our Marriott points, in the form of a gift certificate. We were told by the waiter that the GC automatically took 15 percent as the tip. We tipped another 15 percent, and he was not happy about that, and let us know it. Service was not up to par, at all. "

  • "The scenery is beautiful. The price of the experience went up from last year. I would recommend it for a romantic evening however, I would suggest putting Seabass back on the menu. The restaurant seems to have partnered up with a boat cruise and only offer some selections with the boat cruise. I have heard there are other alternatives that are just as nice for less money."

  • "Food was cold and undercooked and the service was slow. Not worth it."

  • "It is by far one of the most romantic places you will share a meal with your special loved one. The dining area is literally within a few feet of the ocean and faces due west such that you get an unobstructed view of the sunset each evening. The menu is not large, but certainly sufficient for providing multiple entree choices and decent wine pairings. Fresh fish is always available and prepared in several different offerings. Our favorite menu item by far is the bouillabaisse appetizer. It is absolutely the best fish stew I've ever had anywhere. This time we tried the banana coconut dessert and it too was very delicious. Reservations are recommended and the 6:15 or 6:30 times will assure you are seated prior to the sun setting. "
